Is physical geology hard?
i have to take 2 science courses and instead of biology, i chose physical geology and will probably take historical geology after that to fullfil my lab credits but is it hard? whats the class like? also, is it harder than biology? i just didn't want to take that route again. i have to get my general eds out the way but biology isn't something interesting (never did like it in hs) but yeah.. can someone tell me what their class was like and was it hard?
Is physical geology a hard class to take in college?
The answer depends on several factors: your personality, the personality of your teacher, the type of college you refer too and whether you have had other science classses that are in some way linked to geology. It can range from falling of a log easy to nearly impossible.
What is physical geology class like?
I had to take a geology class when I started college, and it was fine. There is some medium degree of memorization, like knowing rock types, tectonic plate movement types, and a whole lot of types. Otherwise, it's primarily understanding the process of how something works. There is really no math involved.
Is Geology hard? Is it easier than Chemistry? What about physical Geology? Or Earth History?
I decided to change major from computer science to business because of difficulties in Math. However, I thought I might still return to school to pursue a computer science degree in computer science. I then decided to do Information Technology as I might still be good in programming. I have the option between Geology classes or chemistry classes. I have dropped a general chemistry class and wondered what was easier.
Is geology better than physics?
No….After http://M.Sc Geology degree you can apply for UPSC geologist Exam, ONGC Exam, BARC Exam, etc. All these examination usually take place on annual basis. Some other PSU recruitment exam like CIL, MECL, NHPC take place in two to three years gap. There are few job prospects in private sector which includes good companies that will pay you comparable to the govt sector and also many small company that will pay you hardly 20000 per month. Now difficult part with MSc geology Degree is that the demand has substantially decreases (in both Govt and private sector) from past five years and no. of student with MSc geology degree increases several fold. Geology graduates are not eligible for school teaching job which now a days a mega employment sector. So before choosing Geology subject, you must look for its job prospect in near future which is reducing day by day. Job satisfaction is also not very good.
Is Historical Geology a harder class than Physical Geology?
In my opinion, no. But it depends on your own abilities. When I took it - far back enough in time that you might consider it upper Pleistocene! - it was pretty much a matter of memorizing facts and sequences. Believe it or not, that was before plate tectonics was an accepted fact, and modern classes in the subject no doubt have that included in the subject matter. But my mathematical skills, which are my weak point, were not challenged by the course, so I did well!
Is Geology hard in college?
Intro geology is easy. Upper level classes require calculus and physics.
