How can I do to upgrade Samsung Galaxy S4 mini to the last Android version?

The Galaxy S4 Mini is quite a decent phone, even for today’s standards: a 8 mp camera (and 1.9 frontal camera) with the ability to capture 1080p video, at 30fps, 8 Gb of ROM and almost 2GB (actually, 1,5) of RAM, and a decent screen size. However, its official update program only allows the OS to be upgraded as far as Android Kitkat (4.4.2). Not exactly a major issue, given it is quite a lightweight and (still) capable OS version, but i understand the lack of certain commodities that newer versions of Android bring with them, compared to Kitkat.Your best option is indeed to flash a custom ROM image into your Galaxy, a scary and daunting process in the past, but a common technique nowadays for people who want to take the most out of old devices. For every custom ROM, there is a different Android version, and the choice of which version to go with is entirely up to you. I would suggest sticking with Android 5.0 or 5.1, as even though it can also be considered an “old” version of Android, among the newer versions, it benefits from having decent levels of compatibility with older smartphone models, while being less demanding in terms of resource usage. ROMS like AOSP, or LineageOS (former CyanogenModOS) can provide you with the breath of fresh air your phone needs. You can find some detailed and easy to use guides and tutorials on the XDA Developers forum down below, a personal favourite of mine for Android customization related issues and questions.Samsung Galaxy S4 Mini Forum on XDA DevelopersHope i helped, and an upvote is always appreciated! :D

Should I upgrade my Samsung Galaxy S4 to Lollipop?

If you're still on Kitkat, stay there. There are dozens of bugs in the lollipop update for S4 at least. Some of the major ones being:A simple phone call doesn't connect through in the first try. This happens multiple times a day. Music player stops responding when you try to access your Playlist. The phone has a lot of lags. Hangs sometimes. Even while using Whatsapp! This shouldn't be expected from an S4!Many others..

On the Samsung Galaxy S4 update 4.3, the mobile data button is no longer on the notification panel. Is there another way to access the mobile data option from the notification panel?

Hi, Are you sure that it's gone. If you pull down the notification panel you will have 5 quick setting icons, if you then press the toggle button to reveal more icons to choose from (it's the square button next to the settings icon). (The Square Icon at the top right will give you more quick settings icons). (More icons are available to toggle on/off). I am using a Samsung Galaxy S5 running Android 5.02 Lollipop so my layout will differ from yours though the options are the same. If you have tried the above and the icon is still missing I would recommend that you try a factory reset. This should be done anyway when updating your OS. It will clear any old system files remaining from the previous OS and will make you re download your apps which will be the latest version. If it is still unavailable I would return it under warranty or try contacting Samsung - just search Google for your local Samsung service number. Peace ✌

When is the Lollipop update coming to the Samsung Galaxy Note 3?

Samsung Galaxy Note 3 is a Android Phablet which is developed by the Korean electronic giant Samsung Electronics Ltd. Samsung Galaxy Note 3 basically comes with Android 4.3 (Jelly bean) as stock android from the company. After that an update to Android 4.4 (KitKat) was given by the company officially. But Samsung has not officially given an update to Android Lollipop 5.0 or 5.1 till yet, but you can still update to Android Lollipop 5.1 by installing CyanogenMod 12.1 Custom ROM for your Samsung Galaxy Note 3. Install Android Lollipop 5.1 CM 12.1 ROM On Samsung Galaxy Note 3 Note : Since this is a Custom ROM it will void your phone's warranty. Your phone should be Rooted, Custom Recovery installed and Bootloader unlocked.

How do i manually force a android update on my phone?

Ok, I have a Samsung Galaxy Stellar 4g LTE smartphone that is made and released by Verizon Wireless and Samsung. My phone was released somewhere in between the Galaxy S3 and the S4, (I think), and my phone is currently running on Android 4.1.2, (which sucks by the way). My phone's code is SCH-I200. Now I want the Android 4.4 update, mainly because Android 4.1.2 sucks and my phone is so slow and everything. I've checked the software update tab on my phones settings and it says that there are no new updates. I manually have my phone scan for new updates every month and every time there are no new updates. So is there any way i can manually "force" my phone to update, to Android 4.4.1 or 4.4.2, without rooting my phone? I don't just want some stupid launcher. I want the real android 4.4 update. Is there anyway to do that? I've seen ways to do it on a Nexus phone without rooting the phone. But i do not have a Nexus phone, i have a Samsung phone.
