You've studied for the test and honestly even if not - you are there , sitting on that seat in the examination hall and you deserve to write this and are capable of handling it.Believe in yourself. Take deep breaths, And calm your mind.See, in my entire life till now I've kept myself calm by sipping on some water and stretching during the examination. Just make sure you don't spill it and don't drink too much.You'll be fine.We've been giving examinations since so long , like ever since we were a child right.It's no big deal.You'll do well.Just remember what result would you like to see for this exam and write it.

How can I keep my peace of mind during exams?

By not thinking about keeping the peace of your mind! Instead think about how you going to write the answer in the best podsible manner that the examiner has to give you the marks. When I lose my cool, I think about how I'm going to write and PRESENT the answers. Or anything that will deviate you from getting reckless. It works.

3 Ways to Remain Calm During a Test(1) One important “method” to stay calm under any circumstance is to be PREPARED. When you are prepared, when you did all the homework, read all the assigned materials and turned in all your assignments, there is a certainty in you that assures smooth sailing and success. That inner feeling of having done everything that needed to be done will keep you calm during a test. There is no real substitute from a psychological point of view to being fully prepared.(2) Secondly — get plenty of sleep, eat a lot of fruits and vegetables and quality meat and no sugary-floury stuff like donuts and bagels. Make sure you get at least 7 hours of sleep before the test. Do not cram down the whole night before an exam. Sleep deprivation is the worst thing you can do to yourself. If you are yawning all the time and if you did not have good clean food in your system, you will not be calm at the exam. You’ll be fidgety, with a headache, and sitting on pins the whole time. That will certainly destroy your peace of mind at a test.(2a) Also: make sure you are hydrated during an exam. If they allow you to do it, bring your water bottle with you to the exam. But again, don’t drink so much that you will have to visit the restroom and thus lose precious time. Pace yourself accordingly.(3) Thirdly — get ready for the worst case and know ahead of time what you’re gonna do about it. Ask yourself what is the worst possible outcome if you fail the test. If you don’t like the worst case scenario, then double your efforts to get ready for the exam. If, on the other hand, you think it’s not the end of the world and not a big deal if you can’t get the score you want at the test, then you will again be calm and not in a panicky state. The choice is yours to make.

I have learnt this technique to focus on work from the book - The Now Habit by Neils Fiore. Write down your distraction in order to let go. E.g., I let go the music that is playing in my head. I choose to focus on my test. Write like this in a paper. You will find that music has stopped and you are focusing on your test. Not only this, any type of distraction can be overcome by this technique. Just write I let go ...........(distraction).

How to keep anxiety level down during an exam ?

Its a usual feature that students get extremely anxious, nervous, scared before and during a big exam, this causes adverse effect even in their performance even after a goos preparation they make silly mistakes, how to keep the stress level low during an exam ??
