How I Can Formate C Drives And Reinstal Windows 7

How can I format my C drive in Windows 8?

Hey there :)There might be two possible cases here :-If your C drive contains normal data not Windows files(current live OS files) then of course you can format your C partition. If You have have only os installed and it’s on C drive. Then you might think of formating C drive only when you want to install another OS. In such case you need not to format your c drive.Just go for installation and when installer asks for drive to install OS on,you need to select your drive you want to install OS on(‘C’ drive in your case). And installer will simply format your C drive and install your newer OS(whichever you want to install) on C drive. That’s It.

How do I reformat a hard drive without logging in to Windows?

I have an old laptop that I want to give away, but I want to wipe the hard drive first. It has an unactivated copy of Windows 2000 Professional on it (don't really know how that happened-- Windows used to work on it, because it was used in the office where I worked). I can't log in to Windows to reformat the hard drive, so is it possible for me to reformat the hard drive without getting into Windows?

How do I format a C drive?

To format C means to format the C drive, or the primary partition that Windows or your other operating system is installed on. When you format C, you erase the operating system and other information on the C drive.Unfortunately, it's very much not a straightforward process to format C. You can't format the C drive like you can format another drive in windows because you're within Windows when you perform the format. To format C from within Windows would be like lifting a chair in the air while sitting on it—you can't do it.The solution is to format C from outside of Windows, meaning you need a way to format a drive from somewhere other than your Windows installation. The easiest way to do this is to boot from an operating system (with formatting abilities) via a CD/DVD drive, flash drive, or floppy drive.Because of limitations (in Disk Management, many users want to use 3rd-party utilities to extend C: drive in Windows 7 without formatting. For example, AOMEI Partition Assistant .This partition software can fully make use of the free space and unallocated space on the same disk to extend partition in Windows 7 or later version . It provides you professional and convenient features - shrinking and moving large partitions to enlarge your low disk space partition. What's more, this reliable utility works without data loss and offers you more advanced functions .Step 1: Download AOMEI Partition Assistant and launch it as administrator, you will see the main interface.Step 2: Then, right click partition D and select "Resize Partition" (If there is already some unallocated space )Step 3: After clicking "Resize Partition". A window pops up and drag right handle leftwards to shrink the partition to create some unallocated space. Then, click "Ok".Step 4: Because the unallocated space is not behind system partition, therefore, right click partition D and select "Move partition". In the pop-up window, drag partition D rightwards.Step 5: After step4. The unallocated space has been moved behind system partition. Then, right click system partition and select "Resize Partition". In the pop-up window, drag C drive right handle rightwards to extend C: drive.Step 6: Click "Apply".

What is preventing me from installing Windows 7?

Hello, I am having major issues trying to install a fresh copy of Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit. I have an HP dv7-7135us laptop that had a factory-installed Windows 7 home premium 64-bit operating system originally. I have a couple years experience working on computers as a hobby, but this issue is a new one for me.

My laptop is a newer laptop (2012) with intel and it has a 750 GB Advanced Format hard drive.

The first thing I did was format/delete my hard drive and partitions and create a new one. Then I continued to install the OS. The computer restarted as it's supposed to, but during the "finishing installation" part, an error came up saying that "Windows Setup can't install Windows on this hardware." After doing some research, I realized that it's apparently a common error. I tried every different solution to no avail. I tried downloading the Intel RST drivers for Raid, and then there was an error saying that the "load drivers" option couldn't install the driver because it wasn't digitally signed. I tried both the 32-bit driver and 64-bit, both with the same result. I am stuck and have been trying to figure this out for days.

I do have access to a second computer that has internet access. If anybody can please steer me in the right direction, I'll appreciate it. Thanks in advance.
