Why can't I delete my Yahoo questions?
Before you have an answer. Next to the add details button click the delete button once you get an answer you can't delete them. If you are too late.All you can do is hope either it or the best answer is reported as a violation even resolved questions can be removed that way, or you could try emailing the YA team.answrs_team@yahoo.com explaining as to why it (they) should be deleted,. however Yahoo will only delete questions if they violate the community guidelines or reveal personal contact information (e.g. email address, full name, phone numbers, address etc). You can only delete your answers to open questions, and open questions. Once a best answer is chosen to a question, or the question goes to voting, you can't delete answers and questions. You loose 2 points for every answer that you delete, and you can't answer the question again before it goes to voting or gets resolved. To delete your answers, view the question and find your answer. Underneath the answer is a "Delete" link. Click it. Confirm that you want your answer deleted. Yahoo! deletes your answer and you're alerted that you've lost 2 points. You loose 5 points for every question that you delete. You can't access the answers after they are deleted. The question will remain listed in your profile to remind you that you once asked it, but no one else will be able to see it. To delete your question, view your question. Hover your mouse cursor over the pencil icon beneath your question and click the option "Delete question". You're alerted that you've lost 5 points. Questions stay in the database forever to be browsed through in future use.

How do you delete a question on Yahoo Answers for mobile phones?
The way the format is now you can't Delete a Question it has even just 1 answer. Even closing your account all your Q&A stay on the site. You will have to switch to desktop if on Mobile. Before an Answer is given to the right of your Question click the pencil and there will be an X to Delete it but that X goes away with an Answer being given and only will show Add Update and Make Anonymous. Clicking the pencil will also have a Make Anonymous choice, you can use that so no one will know it is you if Questions are of a personal nature. If you use the Anonymous option, it will not show your name or avatar, and cannot be clicked to see your profile. Anonymous questions will not show to anyone on your profile page, only you will see it.. If you are seeing the newest format with Round Avatars to Delete a Question or add Updates on that one click the Blue Edit under the Question and then Delete or Add Updates.

No ,they remain they are the property of Yahoo. You really can't delete a YA account, only YA can delete a YA account. You could do this. Click your avatar, delete all your contacts click edit my info, delete the info in your profile including your personal avatar if you had one, set everything to private and , uncheck to receive ims or emails, click save. Don't return to the site.Your questions and answers remain on the site they are the property of Yahoo. it does not affect your email account, it remains active. You can only delete questions that you asked, and you can only do that while they are still 'open'. Once a question is in 'voting' or has been resolved via a Best Answer being chosen, the question belongs to Y!A and is in their database forever (or until they start archiving old Q&As anyway). You can also email Yahoo Customer services at y_answers_team@yahoo.com or y_answrs_team@yahoo.com and ask for them to delete the question for you. In your email include the link to the question you want deleted, explain why you want it deleted and ask them to delete it for you To delete your question while it's still open, go to the question page, pass your mouse over the pencil icon in the toolbar below your question, and click on Delete Question.
