How can I update my iPhone 4S from iOS 7 to iOS 9 for free?

Upgrading your iDevice to desired iOS version is only possible untill Apple is signing those iOS.But your bad luck that Apple had stopped signing iOS 9 long before and I think iOS will be out of the track soon. So, you cannot upgrade your iOS 7 device to iOS 9.The last thing you are left with is go to updates and check which version you are gettingSettings -> About -> Software Update.ORGoto Download iOS Firmware for iPhone, iPad, iPod Touch, Apple Watch and Apple TV.And choose your iOS device and check which version is still signed by Apple (Green ones). You can upgrade to that version of iOS only. And as per my knowledge iPhone 4s is a 32bit device and doesn’t support iOS 11.At last : you can upgrade to iOS 10 only (10.3.3)Hope this will help :)

How do I downgrade my iPhone 5 Firmware from iOS 10.0.1 to iOS 7.1.2?

IF, and I stress that most emphatically, if you archived an iTunes backup prior to installing the beta version of iOS 10, you might be able to restore to that old iOS. However, I find that case to be extremely unlikely.Apple stopped supporting or even allowing the installation of iOS 7.x when iOS 8.0 was released.Once you update your iOS, it's a one way street: there is NO going back to a prior version of iOS than the current version, no matter what that version is. Apple isn't like Microsoft or Android, where you can roll back to a previous version of the iOS. The reason is that Apple retains more and better control over the OS than the other companies, so any issues that cause trouble after a software update are usually very easy to fix.

How can I download new apps on iPhone 4 with iOS 7.1.2?

Here, I’ll assume that you’re talking about an app that you have never downloaded before. As long as the app is compatible with iOS 7, you’ll be able to download it.To check whether an app is compatible:Open the App StoreSearch for the appOpen its dedicated description pageScroll down to the information sectionLook for “Compatibility”If the iOS version is lower or equal to 7, then you’re OKIf you’ve already downloaded the app in the past, you’ll see a cloud icon instead of a normal button (Get or Buy).In that case, even if the latest version of the app is incompatible, you’ll be offered the choice to download an older (and compatible) version of the same app on your iDevice.Since you have an iPhone 4, you might be interested in having a look at other Quora answers of mine on this topic:Damien Schreurs's answer to Is an iPhone 4 really that out-of-date today? Will it be possible to play Apple Music using iOS 7 (iPhone 4)?

Sorry, the answer would let you down.According to the supported OS of Apple Music, you need iOS 8.4 or later to use Apple Music. The bad news is the iPhone 4 cannot be updated to iOS 8. You are unable to play Apple Music using iPhone 4.The good news is you can do this with the help of Apple Music converter. The third-party software removes the DRM from Apple Music and converts to MP3, so that you could transfer the Apple Music songs to iPhone 4 or iPod nano, iPod shuffle for playback with no restriction.

Can I install IOS 8/9/10 manually on iPhone 4? Will it be able to run it?

No. The iPhone 4 does not, in any case, support any version of iOS later than iOS 7.1.2. The iPhone 4 does not support iOS 8, iOS 9, and will not support iOS 10. Apple has not released a version of iOS later than 7.1.2 that is physically compatible with an iPhone 4— that being said, there is no way for you to “manually” upgrade your phone— and for good reason. Apple has not allowed the iPhone 4 to support these more recent versions of iOS because the hardware simply can't handle it. iOS 7 on the iPhone 4 is already slow and sluggish— imagine iOS 9 or even iOS 10. It will be a terrible experience. The iPhone 4 is a six year old phone now— and if you are still carrying it around, I would recommend upgrading, if and when possible.

Can I update to iOS 7 on gevey SIM iPhone 4s without getting any issues?

Hello All In addittion to that, there are two kind of sim cards in turbo family. 1) R- SIm and 2) X-sim. R- sim will surely stuck on no Service but if you have x-sim that would work. But surely depends upon your"home network" on which your mobile working on ios 6.1.3.  i would not say that R-sim would not work but possibility is to wait till the new IOS 7 R sim is available in market. If you have waited year for IOS 7 then i do not see any harm to wait further 15 odd more days:)Cheers Love ios Love Steve Jobs         Hello All, I would say YES you can , but still we are prety unsure about the baseband for Apple's IOS 7. as of now we have gevy and turbo sim for update till  6.1.3 baseband 3.4.03.  I know that SOFTWARE update and Network has no connection in so real. but apple always paly safe with this. They either block the gateway or they change the baseband series. I prefer, if you do not want to pay much money for OFFICIAL Unlock then please wait for a week or two. I am sure hackers will have the sollution to turbo unlock sim for Iphones IOS 7. Rest assured there is no harm to update its a beautiful OS ever made, but still to wait. I know you have waited this since long, so thoda or sahi:) And do not update to BETA versions as they are full of Bugs... Thanks A

How do I copy phone contacts and photos on my iPhone 4 running iOS 7.1.2 to my new iPhone running iOS 12?

iCloud backup was introduced in iOS 5, so both devices should be able to utilize iCloud backups using your Apple ID. Each Apple ID user is given 5 Gb of free space and can purchase more space for a monthly fee. Depending the amount of photos you may need to purchase a larger storage package. From the iPhone 4 sign into or create a new Apple ID if you do not have one already. Once done go to Settings > iCloud > Storage and Backup. Here you can purchase the additional storage mentioned and see how much storage you have left. Make sure iCloud Backup is ticket on and then tap Back Up Now. If you have never done this your initial backup will take time, so set your phone on the charger and let it be, or tap the back up now button right before bed so it can run through the night.Once the backup is done you can go to your new phone and begin setting up the phone by restoring from an iCloud Backup. When you sign in with your Apple ID it should present you with the most recent backup, which depending should be a few hours to maybe a few days old depending on when you go to restore from the backup.

How can I install unsupported apps on iOS 7.1.2?

If you are trying to install apps that require iOS versions newer than 7.1.2, you can’t. The developer might be using technologies not available on iOS 7.However, there is a catch: if the developer published the app when iOS 7 was around, you might still be able to download that version of the app from the App Store. The App Store does keep an archive of previous app versions to support legacy devices.Hope this helps.
