How Is It Possible That The Muslims In The West Dont Want Sharia Law Implemented

Would you, as a Muslim, want Sharia law?

Hmm, Despite the fact I am not a practicing Muslim, I believe Sharia law for me is the most complete and result oriented law, it solves hundreds of problems in no time.But would I want it in Pakistan?Absolutely not.Why?Sharia law is one way too misunderstood law and will have many versions, people specially extremists societies running in Pakistan will start using it for their own favors.For many women in Pakistan specially the educated ones, they want nothing to stand between them and their independence, not even religion. Islam has certain boundaries for women, women here want to be called Muslims, yet don’t want to follow those practices, in-fact for many, covering themselves is a form of ‘Jahalat’ (Illiteracy) and forcing a sharia law in a society where people are turning more liberal can be catastrophic.If sharia law was supposed to be imposed, it should have been imposed earlier, people have already evolved enough in Pakistan as per current laws. We all know what happened when Zia ul Haq tried to do so.Many people these days in Pakistan have already developed hate towards religion, many don’t accept it in public, many still pray with no love of God in heart, many still don’t question because of fear of the society, when something defy logic, there is no one to clarify, sharia law will do nothing but create more hate for Islam in society since sharia is very strict. (Nothing good comes easy)Pakistan will turn into just another place like UAE and Saudi Arabia, where women are ridiculed in the name of Islam, they are even being denied rights that Islam has given them openly, even if you try your best and impose the real and proper sharia law, women here still won’t accept it, they will keep developing hate inside despite they actually can progress by covering themselves and doing it the way Islam tells, they would want to progress without it.Cheers!

Will Muslims try to implement Sharia law on US citizens?

No. Despite the hype, Muslims don’t want to implement Sharia in non-Muslim lands. Even the idea of implementing Sharia in a place that isn’t ruled by Muslims is an idea that is foreign to Islam … find me one instance in the 1400 years of Muslim rule where they tried to implement Sharia in a place that wasn’t ruled by Islam? Yeah, that’s what I thought.In fact, if you look at history, when Muslims conquered a territory, or when Muslims became the ruling class, Sharia was only implemented on Muslims. Non-Muslims were free to follow whichever law they wanted to follow - eg Christians followed Christian law, Jews followed Jewish/Talmudic law, etc. Non-Muslims actually had more freedom, because they could choose to go to Sharia courts for their disputes (which happened quite often), but Muslims couldn’t choose to follow another law.So, to reiterate,Sharia has never been implemented in a land that wasn’t ruled by Muslims, so it’s absurd to think that would happen nowThroughout history, Sharia was ONLY ever implemented on Muslims. Non-Muslims followed the law of whatever religion they followedThe only people who are talking about implementing Sharia in the West are:Extremist groups, who want US citizens to be afraid of themIslamophobes, who want US citizens to be afraid of the extremistsThe poor suckers who believe what these 2 parties are saying
