How Is It Possible To Get A Job When You Have Never Worked Before

26 and never worked before?

Hi. I am 26 years old, and I've never had a job before. I just play video games in my mom' house all day, and it just hit me that I should of gotten a job at like 18...how do I go about this?

How can I find a decent job if I never worked before a day in my life?

Everybody has to start someplace, therefore to find a decent job, you need to do it step by step..If you want to find a decent job, the very first thing you should do is get a job, any job the you can handle and do! Forget about the decent part just get a job!Once you got a job, you can now start thinking about how to make it a decent job.. And you can do it by just improving whatever you are doing and you will find that as you improve and progress with your job, it will become decent… You may get promoted and promotion is what may make it a decent job..

What do I put in work experience, if I have never worked before?

List any activities you have done wether paid or not. For example volunteer work, child minding, pet sitting, lawn care etc., If you have some names from those experiences get phone numbers and you now have references.

Also make a point of listing your hobbies, awards and interests to give them an idea of your abilities.

If its the retailers website, you are okay. I've never put SS numbers in though, but I am in Canada. If you can avoid that and proceed I suggest you do so. Good luck!

Can I receive unemployment, even though I never worked?

I'm 23 and I'm starting school now. I have never worked in my life, but I need the extra money to buy different things. I'm tired of depending on my mother with everything. I can't find a job so I'm wondering if I could call somewhere so I can receive benefits until I'm done with school?

I'm 21 years old, and I've never worked before. How can I get work?

You need to find an entry-level job.And you need to accept that entry level jobs are often boring, or physically difficult, or unpleasant, and don't pay very well. They are entry level because they require almost no skill or knowledge to do, which can make them boring.  They are often unpleasant or physically difficult, because once someone has some skills or knowledge, they find a better job.   The pay is low because there is no shortage of people qualified to do the job. When you find your entry job, work hard.  Stay busy.  If there is slack time, grab a broom or a mop, don't lean on a wall or counter..."If you have time to lean, you have time to clean!".  Be polite, be positive, avoid horseplay...Try not to make any problems for your employer. (but don't tolerate any serious harassment)  Don't let the mean people get under your skin.   If your boss has half a clue, he is watching the entry level workers, and the ones that work hard will be offered better jobs.   If not, you now have experience and can find another job...maybe still entry level, but now a better entry level job.  It is MUCH easier to find a job when you already have a job...well except for finding the time to job hunt.   It says a lot about you that you are currently working at _something_, and it can even be a plus if your current job is especially unpleasant.   If you are willing to clean bathrooms, the new boss knows you will grateful to work in the mailroom.
