How Is Life In West Gorton

What is life like at Keele University?

I went there too long ago to make a fair comment but it’s striking that students seem to be happy with life there, according to the National Student Survey, and happy with their course too, according to various other surveys.Facts and Figures - Keele UniversityDespite all the building in the last 20 years, it’s still a beautiful campus with a friendly, collegiate feel.

How is the sports city of Manchester divided up?

In terms of soccer/football...How is the city of Manchester divided up. I am a fan of either Man U or Man City, living in the States. But to keep unbiased answers I won't tell you which team I support. But, how big is the city in terms of population? Is the old saying true that, "everyone from Manchester is a City fan...and all the United fans are just front runners and other people who aren't from there."? And how is Manchester divided up geographically in terms of supporters...N, S, E, W. And is there a difference in white collar vs blue collar between the two team's supporters? And what is the overall look/feel/living conditions between the two team's supporters part of the city?

Just wondering.

What is Manchester really like?

Manchester is like any other place in the UK. The locals (Mancunians) are nice people some like talking about football so i think its to do with the football. Best not to mention like arsenal, Chelsea west ham and so on...........

I wouldn't say Manchester is a dump it just has allot of council blocks and red brick terraces. For me I am a city person and love cities. This doesn't really effect me. I would say the south of manchester is the best part.

Manchester has the two greatest football teams in the UK man city and united. It has the Arnadle in the centre, Chinatown, art gallery's, Manchester eye and other shops within the Greater Manchester urban area.

It has brilliant night life, good transport, good schools and loads of jobs

Here is a list of what I find of the city suburbs.

Good Areas:
Didsbury (expensive)
Withington (student and family area)
Fallowfield (student area)
Chorlton(cheaper than Didsbury)

Maybe you can try visiting Didsbury and Chorlton because they are the best areas of Manchester and has nice cafess, nice little shops and its really safe there.

Bad Areas:
Moss side(black community)
Longsight(Asian community and quite rundown)
Gorton(not a nice area)
Newton Heath(rough)
Openshaw(bit tatty and dull)
Moston(some parts)
Cheetham Hill(filled with drug dealers and gangs etc)

I hope this helps. Its to do with common sense and and dont walk in back streets, dont leave your car unlocked etc.

I hope you do come to visit.

What do they mean by address line 1 and address line 2?

In case your address is too long and you want to organise it by writing it in two lines so you can use it.example :LINE 1 : House no.45 second floor, 5th cross.LINE 2 : Banaswadi, Bangalore, KA 560043.

Is a Costco membership worth it?

"Worth it" is totally subjective.  I think so. I'm a childless guy with a husband. I'm also a former Costco marketing manager. There are some advantages to being a Costco member. First, they unconditionally guarantee nearly everything they sell. You can even return the bones of a steak or the empty container if you don't like what you got. I returned a couch one year after I bought it without a peep from the membership desk. Second, if you get non-perishable sundries like kitty litter (me!), dish soap, toilet paper and detergent, the price per "usage amount", is unbeatable. While some perishable items will drive your cost up because of waste and gluttony (very real for most people), I make sure to not buy junk food from them. I get avocados and frozen berries at a fraction of the cost elsewhere. Lastly, there are some service areas that can't be beat. Their bakery is way above average for things like the All American Chocolate Cake, sheet cakes, cheese cake and French bread. Their travel service is great and their tire shop is amazing. But only you can decide if it's right for you. And, oh, if you care at all about how a company treats its employees, then Costco is a no-brainer. They treat and pay their people like gold. That matters to me and it should matter to you.

How do British people feel about Bangladeshi people living in their country nowadays?

Should we feel a certain way? For me (I cannot speak for others) I don’t feel anything about them, they’re part of this country just like anyone else. Now there might be a time I come across someone from Bangladesh who I dislike greatly but that could be for many reasons and not one of them will be because of their heritage. My first experience of meeting people from Bangladesh goes way back to when I was 8 years old and they were refugee children. My school took lots of them and we were asked to make them welcome, which is exactly what we did and not one of them gave me any reason to feel anything towards them other than sympathy…they had not only lost families, homes and possessions they had abruptly found themselves in a foreign country where they had no idea about the language or the culture. Now as an adult I have the greatest respect for the people that came here 40 years ago and made a life for themselves, they worked hard and plenty of them made a damn good life for themselves and their families.
