How Is Ncea Level 3 Like I Think I May Be Moving There

I've been in a ballet 1 level for 4 years, and my new ballet teacher said I'm ready for level 3. I don't think I'm ready yet. Should I start level 3 or stay where I'm comfortable?

What happened to level two? Don’t you need to do that first? You can’t stay in level one forever. A bit of healthy self-criticism is good, but after four years it really is time to move on, especially if your teacher says so!

Is New Zealand a good place to live?

My family and I are currently living in th United States and are considering moving to New Zealand. However, my dad needs to find a job and all that jazz. Any residences want to voice their opinions or whether you like it or not? Thanks (:

Physics (acceleration)?

A lunar landing craft descends vertically towards the surface of the moon with a constant speed of 2.0m/s. The craft and crew have a total mass of 15,000kg. Assume that acceleration due to gravity on the moon is 1.6m/s^2.
(a) During the first part of the decent, the upward thrust of the rocket engines is 24,000N. Show that this results in the craft moving at a constant speed.
(b) The upward thrust of the engine is increased to 25,500N for the loast 18 seconds of the descent.
i. Calculate the deceleration of the craft during this time
ii. What is the speed of the craft just before it lands?
iii. How far is the craft above the surface of the moon when the engine thrust is increased to 25,500N?

Which route is the easiest to enter into Singapore, Australia and New Zealand universities?

Thanks for the A2A. To gain admission to an undergraduate program at a New Zealand university, domestic students and international students studying at New Zealand high schools and foundation programs will need university entrance.[1] These are the basic criteria for university entrance:NCEA Level 3Three approved subjects at NCEA Level 3, worth three credits each[2]Literacy - ten credits at NCEA Level 2 and above, made up of: 5 credits in reading and 5 credits in writing.[3]Numeracy - ten credits at NCEA Level 1 and above, made up of: specified achievement standards and three numeracy unit standards.[4]New Zealand also recognizes the Cambridge International Examinations system, which several upmarket high schools and colleges in New Zealand offer. [5]International students seeking to study at New Zealand universities at first-year level can gain admission through several pathways:By completing a qualification in their home country which is recognized as equivalent to the New Zealand University entrance.[6]By attending a high school in New Zealand and attaining university entrance through NCEABy completing a foundation program at a university in New Zealand or a recognized non-university provider[7]New Zealand has eight universities. They are the University of Auckand, Auckland University of Technology, University of Canterbury, Lincoln University, Massey University, University of Otago, Victoria University of Wellington, and University of Waikato. What are some good tips for year 12 looking to do HSFY at Otago?

HSFY is an… odd environment.A lot of your peers will want to get entry into extremely competitive professional courses. They are often incredibly stressed, and think that their future hinges on this one year. You’ve just left home, and are living with several hundred other 18-year olds. There is a lot of alcohol suddenly available, and most people seem to be drinking a lot. But at the same time, you’ve got a very heavy workload, and classes at odd times. Most papers have tests and exams on Saturday, and labs can run until 9pm! You won’t be working 8–9 or anything, though, unless you’re extremely unlucky with streaming.I think my biggest piece of advice is to gain some perspective. Try to do things that get you out of the HSFY environment. Whether that’s finding a family friend who lives in Dunedin to have a chat to occasionally, finding some extracurricular activities, or regular calls home. Also, if at all possible, stick to a regular study schedule. Good for mental health. Sleep. Physically go to all your lectures, or at least watch them the same day as they come out. It’s a lot less stressful if you stay on top of things. Speaking of lectures, the teaching tends to be pretty great. They tend to pick the best lecturers for HSFY, and teaching in front of 2000 students brings out the best in the lecturers. One of the chem guys sets his hand on fire in one of the early chemistry lectures, and the physics lectures sometimes have demonstrations in class!I had a great year, and learnt a lot about myself. But it’s an odd environment. I wouldn’t want to repeat it. I had fun, but also found it rather claustrophobic, and really struggled with not having adults/people outside HSFY to talk to. It felt like everyone was obsessed with their classes.

Graph a line only slope given?

You're asked to draw 5 different lines, each going through the origin. The slope must be a fraction, so if it's a whole number like -2, 1, or 4, put each whole number over 1 to make it a fraction. Ideally, you'll be doing it on engineering paper or other graphing paper. Draw your x-axis & y-axis. Label the horizontal axis with an x & the vertical axis as y. Always put arrows on the end of each axis. On each, label where 5 would be to set your scale. If you're using engineering paper, it's helpful to use the heavy lines for your axis, at least in the future when you have bigger numbers to count & can then count by 5's. It's not necessary now, but it's just a good habit to form in the future.

Then, using the origin as your starting point, use the top number of the slope as up or down, up for positive & down for negative. Then pause at your new location without making a point yet. Then use the bottom number to go right or left. In this case, it will always be to the right for positive. -2/+1 will be down 2 then right 1, then make a point. You could do it again to make a third point if you like. (The origin is your first point. (1, -2) will be your second point. A third point is optional.) Now draw a line through those points using a ruler or straight edge like a credit card, AAA card, or student ID. Put arrows on each end of your line showing that it goes on forever in each direction. Label it with a little 1 in a circle to indicate Line 1.

Now do the same for your second line. Start at the origin again. Go down 1, pause, then go right 4. Join those points. Make arrows on each end & label it as Line 2 with a 2 in a circle.

Continue with the other 3 slopes to make 3 more lines. Be sure to go up first then right if the slope is positive. For slope, it's always rise over run. Say that a bunch of times, "rise over run." Note that "rise" really means rise or fall. It's just that "rise over run" makes a nice little jingle to remember.

When in doubt, get extra books at the library or something like Algebra for Dummies at a bookstore, not because you're a dummy, but because those books are fairly cheap & might provide extra help. You could also look for a student solution manual from an online bookseller because it would provide a few extra solved problems that might be similar to the ones that are assigned. Otherwise, I hope that I have helped.

My 18 year old daughter can't be accepted into any universities because of her low grades at school, what can she do?

Go to a community college for a couple years and then transfer to a university (assuming her grades are good at the community college)Enroll in a trade school if she has an interest in any of those fieldsTake online courses and get a degree. There are many out there with low requirements for beginning them. She could start her own business. She could live with you indefinitely. She could be a hobo.In today’s world, 1–3 seem most promising because a degree/expertise in a field is necessary to make any substantial money. 4–6 are probably not the options you’re looking for, but they ARE options. Starting a business could lead to a good income, but I can’t imagine her having the startup money and taking out a loan that could lead to utter failure could prove disastrous on your end and hers. 1–3 is the way.
