Alcohol genes?
My dad was an alcoholic with an addictive personality with drinking and smoking. He would drink every night and turn into a very angry drunk and abusive my mother. He ended up taking his life and I blame alcohol for that. On the other hand I want to be able to drink and not become that angry alcoholic. I wanna drink to be a happy and fun person to be around. Am I going to automatically get my fathers genes? Afterall I am a different person but what should I do?
Can you always taste alcohol in your drink?
no not always. It depends on the amount and type of alcohol. I bought these drinks recently from a bottlo in cronulla- sydney and they are 5 % alchohol- couldnt taste a thing they tasted quite innocent like cordial mixed with lemonaide If your friends spiked your drink they are pircks. Hopefully they are joking. If my friends did that i would be screwed. I dont drink much and therefore dont mind being the designated driver.

I think it would be pretty difficult to prove that someone spiked your drink. Also, you have an obligation, in general, not to drive when it is unsafe to do so. As a result, even if you could prove someone spiked your drink, while the DUI itself might not be upheld, you still might have some trouble for reckless driving or something along those lines.As Patrick Herbert states, you would be offering the defense that your drink was spiked. I doubt, without very strong evidence, that a prosecutor would simply drop the charges. What this means is that after the prosecutor presented their cases, you would try to convince the jury that you should be found not guilty because your drink was spiked.
Alcoholic beer vs. Non-Alcoholic beer?
I have a few questions about Alcoholic vs Non-Alcoholic beers. First of all, how much is the difference between the taste? I hear they taste about the same, so it's not THAT much of a difference. I've also heard that newbie beer drinkers probably won't even be able to tell the difference between alcohol and non-alcoholic. So, is the taste difference minimal? Second, is it healthier to drink Non-alcoholic beer? I understand the calories won't be any different, but what about the alcohol itself? Would someone who drinks like 5 beers a day be better off with non-alcoholic? Thanks for the help.
Does alcohol make you aroused?
Whenever I drink I get really horny, for a lack of better words. I already have a high sex drive for a woman, but this makes it even worse. Is it normal for alcohol to make you more aroused or is it just me? Also it's not a ton. One drink will spike my sex drive through the roof, and one drink doesn't make me tipsy btw. It just makes me even more horny.
Can I become an alcoholic?
You can, however it depends on genetics, and perhaps other factors. I used to drink a lot. The only friends I had back then - cancel that, the only friends I ever had in my life - were my drinking buddies. I was drinking to feel good about myself. I was drinking to be able to cry - and I needed that. I could have a gulp of over-proof alcohol straight from the bottle. I could watch an evening movie or a couple of TV dramas with a bottle of hard liquor in my hand, emptying it in a process.At some stage I started taking a hip flask with over-proofed rum to work, to spike my lunch drink. And I would stop at a bottleshop at the beginning of my drive home, to get a few beers or alcoholic mixers, to calm down the anxiety over a long drive. Then my liver stopped cleaning alcohols out of my body, and a single drink, a bottle of beer, would get me drunk and sleepy. And I stopped - just like that. So not every heavily drinking person becomes an alcoholic.It doesn't mean my life became better - I had to face all my anxieties on my own, without been able to get drunk, done plenty of stupid things, been at the border of desperation, suffered from extreme stress - the list can go on. I;ve done much more in life than a person with my condition, with my background can be expected to manage. Yet the jury is still out, I am still fighting to have a normal life. You need help. You drink alcohol because that's the only help you are allowing to yourself. It is a very expensive helper though. You see, you are getting older. Your metabolism will change with age. The health of youth will be destroyed by alcohol. You will become an unfit middle-aged drunk - hardly a type that interesting women are attracted to. You will become a lonely drunk needed to no-one except for similarly miserable drinking buddies. You need to seek help, and break that psychological dependency. Because even if you don't become an alcohol junkie, you will become a person who has nothing else in life but drinking.
Can anything besides alcohol increase your BAC level in a blood test?
are there any drugs.. like date rape, etc. that can inrcrause your BAC levels in a blood test? i believe i was a victim of date rape this weekend. i only had 2 shots around 10pm then went to a frat party and have no rememberence of anything except throwing up, being confused, not being able to walk, etc. when i arrived at the hospital around midnight they took my blood and somehow.. i have no idea how.. my bac was .20. is there any drugs or anything, besides alcohol, that can increase your BAC level?
