Which professional certificate is more recognized in internal auditing career, CIA or CPA?

To boost your internal auditing career, you should go for CIA certification as it will provide you with the credibility of a specialized internal auditor also it is globally recognized besides its quite easier than CPA. I am CIA holder and it has definitely given me boost in the right direction. However, if Internal auditing is not your call or you wish to have more opportunities, then CPA is for you. So the decision is on you Is internal auditing your life goal then go for CIA.

Is the professional certificate in accounting or auditing (CPA, CMA, CIA) a requirement to apply for the Express Entry program under NOC 1111?

No. You need to have relevant education/exposure in the sub heads but the qualifications you mentioned are mandatory. Even Bcom with relevant work ex will qualify like a charm. All the Best!

If your college offers an internship as part of the degree, you might be able to get a position at an accounting firm.
