How Long Before It Dawns On Us That Our Dependence On Foreign Oil Makes Us Vulnerable To The Sheet

Would people even be able recognize an artificial intelligence revolution and world takeover when it begins?

The easy answer to this question is no. The reason I say this is because there is too much of a Democracy between the large companies who are at the top of the ladder, (who I will not name). One has approximately one hundred thousand computer systems with nothing but information…most ALL information from around the globe. It has been cunning in developing a subcontract with Deep Mind which contains the largest data centers for deep machine learning programs. One of these is the Pentagon, and a major defense contractor. With all this being said, I remind everyone what Elon Musk said, “we are summoning a deamon” , if.. we could not democratize A-I, which we have failed to do. Plus take into consideration, the other 9 countries who currently are competing with other countries to develop the greatest A-I. It is my current theory, an intelligent A-I, or even superintelligent,(which we have not defined yet), does not always have to be a machine, robot, or any other physical system. In other words, a large community of Intelligent A-I’s can exist within a computer framework. At any-time, these “communities”, which I call them, can be unleashed to any part of the world at any given moment. There will be no reason to tell anyone if this happens, because by then, it will be too late. The science fiction movie “I-Robot” is an example of this one “community” of power I describe. I have discovered, when the public is told about an A-I development, it already has been six months to a year since it was initially developed and tested. Unfortunately, the ones with the most power and knowledge of A-I, ….wins …but we all end up loosing.

Why is poetry important in general?

A thing of beauty is a joy for ever:Its loveliness increases; it will neverPass into nothingness; but still will keepA bower quiet for us, and a sleepFull of sweet dreams, and health, and quiet breathing. Therefore, on every morrow, are we wreathingA flowery band to bind us to the earth,Spite of despondence, of the inhuman dearthOf noble natures, of the gloomy days,Of all the unhealthy and o'er-darkened waysMade for our searching: yes, in spite of all,Some shape of beauty moves away the pallFrom our dark spirits. Such the sun, the moon,Trees old and young, sprouting a shady boonFor simple sheep; and such are daffodilsWith the green world they live in; and clear rillsThat for themselves a cooling covert makeAgainst the hot season; the mid forest brake,Rich with a sprinkling of fair musk-rose blooms:And such too is the grandeur of the doomsWe have imagined for the mighty dead; All lovely tales that we have heard or read:An endless fountain of immortal drink,Pouring unto us from the heaven's brink. The above is the first stanza from John Keats’ Endymion. I don’t have anything in particular to say about the poem, but when talking about the importance of poetry, I felt compelled to include it because the poem as it exists itself is important and a thing of beauty.I’m not particularly well versed in the study of poetry, or even literature on the whole. I read books, I read poems, I come up with my own ideas, but it is for the joy of it, not academic exercises (I realise the two can be one and the same). So, as such, it wouldn’t be for me to write about the importance of poetry from an academic standpoint. I could try, but I wouldn’t do it justice, and points I might highlight would be far better found in books on poetry, or even here on Quora.Instead, I will simply talk about why poetry is important to me, and therefore why it might be important to you.To me, poetry is using condensed language to tell a story. It distils feelings down to their rawest state, compressing the language and displaying it in an almost formulaic manner. It causes your perspective to shift and your interpretations to mutate. Feel things more intensely. It goes beyond the seemingly human capacity to write or perceive or paint it, to the point that it reaches across from your soul to the soul of the poet. It’s that feeling that gives poetry its inherent importance.

Is the hatred felt by the Vietnamese and Mongolian people towards China harmful to their countries?

As a Vietnamese I would say yes. Vietnam should have reasonable concerns about threats from China such as island disputes, but we should not hate China or Chinese.Vietnamese should have nationalist sentiments and prefer our products over Chinese products but we should not be against Chinese capital or investment.China is now a big and powerful country. Chinese people now have very big purchasing power. So many rich people looking for places to throw their money. Vietnam should take advantage of its geographic proximity to China and similar culture to attract Chinese money. Imagine if rich Chinese spend more money in Vietnam.I’m lucky enough to be able to travel to so many different countries, and witnessed how much Chinese people spend. From luxury stores in Milan and Paris to car dealerships, restaurants, hotels, premium places that are filled with Chinese tourists, universities filled with rich Chinese offsprings. With a similar political system and culture, Vietnam needs to find way to draw in the Chinese money. Vietnam would be richer than all other Southeast Asian countries with this inflow if capital.Quang Ninh province of Vietnam receives a lot of Chinese money and you can recognize how much it has changed the place.Vietnam should build an Asian version of the French Sant Tropez or the Spanish Marbella to draw in rich Chinese money. Vietnam can be a playground for rich Chinese actors and celebrities. Since China doesn’t have many tropical beaches, and Vietnam is close to the coastal areas of China, where many rich Chinese live. With a friendly attitude to the Chinese, Vietnam can have a more similar relationship to China like America and Canada. We can benefit from Chinese growth and money. Also from having rich Chinese in Vietnam it will improve the image of Vietnam in the world. We should move away from being a budget destination, instead have an image of prestige and wealth. We can also advertise our products and culture to the Chinese. China is a big market with high purchasing power. If Vietnam can build a good brand image in the mind of Chinese, Vietnam can sell many things to China. And I’m sure many Vietnamese would not mind seeing Chinese celebrities visiting Vietnam and spending money.
