Can I use a lemon and sugar scrub to get rid of a tan?

I have a bad tan on my arms and i heard that by exfoliating with lemon and sugar you can get rid of a tan.My arms are 2 shades darker than the rest of my skin and i have a very obvious tan line. I realy want to get rid of it as soon as possible. I was wondering if this works ,and if so, how long does it take to see results? Also if you guys have any other NATURALl remedies that would be great.

Is it bad to scrub my face with sugar and honey?

I pour honey into sugar and just mix it around until its thick and use it as a mask for two minutes.
What will that do to my skin?
Anyway to improve the mixture? Can I use this as a body scrub? Also what is a good face moisturizer?(that's not a home remedy)

Is it ok to use a sugar scrub everyday?

That is great that you have switched to natural products! Many do not realize that everything applied to your skin is further absorbed. If you have sensitive skin I wouldn't recommend using this every day because sugar is not a mild exfoliant, and you do not want to bruise your skin. However if you grind the sugar even smaller, in a coffee grinder, and then make the scrub, I would definitely use it every day! It is really good for your skin! Another natural product you may like is shea butter, you can purchase it at health food stores or an organic store.

Side effects of a lemon sugar scrub?

I want to try out a lemon sugar scrub, i heard it will make your face really soft and lift away dead skin. I also heard that it will help to bleach/fade freckles. I was wondering what side effects there would be I guess? Like would it lighten my skin tone? or could the lemon sting any acne?

Can I apply lemon juice and honey on my face overnight?

Lemon juice and honey are both wonderful natural remedies for skin issues but I have to agree with what some of the others have said.. Leaving the mixture on the skin overnight has the potential to be more harmful to your skin than helpful. The skin needs to be able to breathe and the honey will easily prevent that. It is a humectant, meaning that it has the ability to draw moisture to the skin, leaving your face feeling more soft and supple. However, the skin has the ability to self-moisturize- the excretion of sebum. (Skin that tends to be on the dry side produces sebum at a much slower rate). It is just as easy to reap these benefits by rinsing your skin after approx. 30 minutes. The lemon juice will offer lightening and disinfecting properties but will dry out your skin if it is applied too generously. I recommend applying the mask for the time I mentioned above and applying a light moisturizer afterwards if your skin tends to be more oily (seen most commonly in those with larger pores, such as myself) and a rich moisturizer if you have dry or flaky skin. By repeating this process 2 or 3 times a week you should be able to see positive results in a few weeks time.Good luck!

How long does it take for lemon to lighten skin?

Lemon juice is a common folk remedy for lightening skin quickly and cheaply. Some people, however, have a severe chemical reaction when their skin is exposed to lemon juice and sunlight. This painful condition is called phytophotodermatitis, and care should be taken to avoid prolonged exposure to sunlight and/or UV rays when using lemon juice as a lightening agent. If you're careful about how long you leave the lemon juice on your skin, and in what conditions you apply it, you should find lemon juice a pretty effective skin lightener.Use a lemon wash, exfoliant, or mask for your face. Can we store honey and lemon together without fridge?

I discovered by accident that a net bag full of fresh lemons eventually turns into a bunch of ping-pong ball sized dried lemons that have not spoiled. Lemons that start spoiling while they are still juicy will just rot. Honey is good for thousands of years as long as it doesn't get diluted with water.Putting lemon juice or sliced fresh lemons into honey would risk diluting the honey enough that it would spoil. You could try slicing a whole lemon, drying the slices under a stream of warm, dry air (or a commercial drying gadget), and then putting the dried lemon slices into honey. I think that might be quite interesting.

Does rubbing sugar on your face help keep your skin clear?

Rubbing sugar on your face exfoliates your face which gets rid of dead skin cells. But make sure you wash it off! Or else it will get sticky and nasty and could clog pores, which leads to more pimples.
Get about a teaspoon of white sugar and add just a few drops of water to it. Mix it together so its a thick paste. Dampen your skin and then rub gently over your face with the mixture in small circles. And then you rinse it off.
Me and my boyfriend do this about once a week together. We both have clear skin and since all the dead, dry skin is gone it makes your face really soft!

Can I apply potato lemon honey mask daily on my face?

I'm not exactly sure what to make of one of your ingredients listed in your question. POTATO has never ever been suggested to me to be added as a partial ingredient for a honey mask. Potatoes are have vitamin C in the skin but the rest of the root breaks down in your body as a carb and carbs turn into sugar. That being said… unless you're using just the skin, which would have to be blended to a pulp, AND the skin is usually dirty, you'd want to scrub the skin clean as to not have dirt in your mask, it just seems like a lot of work for a minuscule dose of Vit C. in your honey mask. The lemon alone cover the vit C. And is a much better option. To answer your question, you can use a honey mask everyday as long as your skin has no aversion to honey and/or lemon. Honey is sooo good for your face and if you're skin is sensitive to the mask for whatever reason, try not using lemon. Lemon is good as it fades dark spots and dull skin but the citric acid can burn your skin if you use too much and/or is left on too long. You can apply your honey mask everyday suggested at night for 10 minutes and the cool water rinse mask off. Other than lemon there is an astounding amount of other additive choices that create different results for your skin. (Look up DIY honey mask recipes on google) You can add cinnamon for acne, turmeric for inflammation, instant oats for exfoliation, mashed banana for vitamin boost, mashed avocado for hydration and also essential oils… etc. Just be careful not to add too many ingredients to the honey as it can be problematic causing irritation, allergic reaction, or adverse chemical reactions. Keep it simple and just use honey and 1 to 2 other ingredients at most. It's a really good idea when adding to your honey mask to find tried and true DIY recipes on Google than to just wing it. YOU CAN USE HONEY ALONE AS A MASK EVERYDAY BUT THAT MIGHT NOT APPLY WHEN YOU ADD TO IT AS THOSE ADD ONS MAY NOT BE SUGGESTED EVERYDAY USE. Now, enjoy your honey mask sans potato!
