realistically, you're talking a plant in seedling stage for 2weeks.Then veg for 4weeks.Then flower for 8–12 weeksthen dry for 2 weeks.Then cure for however long you decide. I go with 3 month minimum, that way it's like a fine wine.So, roughly you're talking 14 weeks, or 3 & a half months minimum. But if you rush it, it'll reflect on the finished product. Don't expect a massive amount, an oz per plant is fine for a noob. There will be those that will suggest clones, but you'll need to grow a mother plant first which would add more time. if you can buy clones, great - if not, wait to you've ran a cycle or two before taking clones.In terms of pushing clones right into flower, in an attempt to skip the veg & save time you're talking more risk with the law. More plants = more prison time. Its called a sea of green, it's a good method, but takes experience & the system will be pretty expensive.Try growing an autoflower first, they're the easiest. Then an indica dom strain, that way the height will be easier managed & have a shorter flower time.Remember, use the KISS method - keep it simple, stupid. Yes, go find some Westerners and they'll know where to buy weedEven in far away China, the Westerner seeks the comforts of homeIf you make friends with 5 Westerners in China, eventually one of them will offer you weed.  If you want to find it on your own, walk around Beijing or Shanghai's bar streets at night, eventually a Nigerian man (who will claim he is from New York City) will materialize from the shadows and offer you weed using a euphemism like "hey man, you like to party?". I don't know how safe that is though, your best bet is to make friends with a foreigner (maybe from your work place if you deal with them) and then ask them about it. Some friend's friend's of mine (from Spain, I think) said when they were in Qingdao, a little old Chinese lady sold them weed. They got caught by the police though and had to spend a weekend in Chinese jail (which was super awful/scary for them). They were very scared of getting deported but nothing else happened. I don't know if this is the typical experience so tread very very cautiously. I've never heard of Chinese locals smoking weed in China though, if they tried it it was outside of the mainland because the laws are very severe on PRC citizens. China was once destroyed by rampant drug use, so it's looked down upon to use them.
