How Long Do You Think The Us Can Survive With Everything Going South

Is it worth dreaming of resettling in South Africa?

Im in the same shoes you are in now.
its SUCH a difficult decision to make. Im not living a glamorous life too ...but my life here in Copenhagen is FAR better than it will be in South Africa.
ALTHOUGH I AM packing my bags and heading home in December. to give it just one more shot. Give it everything Iv got. I believe our lives will be what WE make of it. If we are positive that resettling in SA will work then it WILL. but if we return with a negative attitude then nothing good will follow. How can it..when we "block" the possibilities with our negative thinking.
I do have fears. Especially with regards to earning a decent living and how much im going to lose out financially etc..and dont forget the crime. Its been amazing for me..as a young women to just travel around at night..be completely free and safe and I never had to look over my shoulders. But with all that.......I still want to be in a land I can call HOME.
good luck with whatever you choose!!

How long will $5,000 last in South East Asia?

I want to live abroad for a year. Will US$5,000 last a year in the Philippines or Malaysia? Or someplace like that. I figure I will need at least $100 for food each month and a similar amount for accommodation which will leave me $200 a month for visas, clothing, travel, shopping, entertainment, etc.

Is Taekwondo training in the USA easier or harder than learning it in South Korea?

I spent 4.5 years in the Republic of Korea (R.O.K.) South Korea while in the US Army. My TKD training was intense to say the least. Training 6 days a week, 4 hours a day when not in the field training. The training there will be a lot different than you receive in the USA. You must respect your fellow students, seniors, instructors and masters as they do not tolerate disrespect from anyone! They will hit you when doing something wrong(that's their way)if you don't like it,you will quit training as a lot of people have! There are so many other things people want to do that will be a distraction to you as well. Only the strong survive the training over there. Training in the USA their not allow to do some of the things they do in Korea! SuaKaow

Can somebody please help me? I live on 2902 south university drive in Fargo, ND!!!?

Why don't you move back in with mom? You certainly qualify for food stamps. I wish you well. Have you considered the military?

Is unification with North and South Korea even possible?

Unification of the two Koreas s not only possible it is inevitable. Korea is one nation; both north and South Korea share the same language and culture. Both peoples desire unification, and some day will achieve it. Having said that the time frame could be centuries.
There are three basic unification scenarios-
Status Quo-this assumes a gradual, negotiated unification. I believe the current leadership of North Korea would have to move on before this becomes a reality.
System Collapse- either the north or South Korean nation collapses entirely from economic or other causes. Most people think this would more likely occur in the north.
War-this is the worst case scenario and could happen so easily it’s really scary. For example what is North Korea accidentally let lose a nuke? Or if conditions in North Korea got so bad they figure the only way out is to start a war and then attempt to negotiate? This scenario proceeds to doomsday fairly quickly, but it can be assumed that only one government in Korea would survive.
Some things that obstruct the two countries are as follows:
Survival of the North Korean government-The current regime from the top down cannot unify and survive.
Foreign influence-Some of the countries around it view a unified Korea as a threat. This is particularly true of Japan and china.
Survival of the South Korean government-The cost of unification will challenge the ability of the South Korean ruling class to stay in power.
A unified Korea would be an asian powerhouse directly rivaling Japan and china. Japan would have to compete with Korea for every market it needs to survive. China will not want a pro-us ally on its border. This will make both nations jittery and paranoid. As far as the us goes, well as near as I can tell no one in the us state department has put any thought into this. I mean it’s not like the United States would ever let any international situation slip away from them, is it? In summary no one is really sure how unification would affect the united states.
