Can you wear new US Army rank if you haven't been "pinned"?
You get to put the rank on when your orders say the effective date of your promotion is. Regardless of weather you have a pinning ceremony or not. Most promotion dates are the 1st of the Month, if this fall on a weekend or day off, you come to work the next day with the rank on. If you don't you are out of uniform. I got promoted to E-5 while sitting on an Alert tour, working 24 hour days. I took an extra uniform to work, At midnight I changed my shirt putting on my new rank. That's the way it works. EDIT, As far as some people concerned with P.O. their superiors. If they are so concerned about a Pinning ceremony, it is their responsibility to make sure it happens before your orders Official Promotion date. Most of the ones I've attended were the last duty day BEFORE the Promotion date. They will not hold up an earned promotion, just for ceremony.
Can you change from Active Duty to Reserves while in the US Marines DEP?
Yes, You can just ask if you should provide a good reason, also you can get out of the DEP contract, ive done it twice, the Navy and The Marines, I did join the Army though. Just dont let them push you around, tell you recruiter you plan on finishing school and you must have it change or you will not ship. They can say all they want but it is bullshit, my marine recruiter agreed he hated the MArines and two months after I dropped them he got out. So tell them what you wnat if they say no then leae em, they cant do anything and if you wanna come back go to another component. They will keeep in there system for a while up to a year so once they remove you from their inactive reserve list(DEP) another recruiter can work with you as long as its not the marines, they require a letter of approval once you drop from their DEP and it is a beech to get one.

I was on tdrl for well long enough that I had to go back and fix my record so as to get made pdrl through the board that decides such things. You are supposed to be tdrl for 4 years i think, i was for about 10 without realizing I wasnt retired. So I went to Betheseda and was then made totally and permanently pdrl, and then I was retired. I got the whole red folder paperwork packet and a lapel pin saying so. I am not sure I understood my aswers, I apologize.
What makes U.S. Air Force better than any U.S. military branch?
Im an enlistee in the army... I was previously in the air force system but transferred in the army and all of my friends are telling me I was crazy (hahaha I have my reasons why.. you can ask me why). I know the air force has the reputation of being best in quality of life.. I wanna know how better is the air force on any other branch. How far ahead air force compared to others. Would I regret joinning the army instead? Im enlisting as 68w by the way.
