How long does the teething stage last for Pug dogs ?What age does it usually stop? ok, that's 2 questions!

My pug is 14 weeks and she is licking/ chewing EVERYTHING in her path. I've given her tons of chew toys and she uses them but then she'll go on to other things too , not to mention my hands and clothes!

How long is the pain of wisdom teeth?

Until they are fully erupted you will experience ‘teething’ pain. Now you know why baby’s cry due to teething pain. My wisdom teeth didn’t erupt till I was about 22 and it was the ‘teething’ pain that clued me to that fact. Might want to see a dentist for an x-ray to be sure none of them are impacted(obstructed by other teeth). Impacted wisdom teeth - Wikipedia

When does teething pain stop?

I don’t have kids but I looked it up. Teething can start around six months and last for a year or more, hopefully ending by age 2.5. Ideally most of the pain that causes distress and crying stops way before that, but all the teeth need to break through the gums, and the jaw must adjust to the movement of the teeth. This is why the pacifier was invented—chewing can relieve tooth pain.Teething: how to ease the distress

How long do fevers from teething last?

My daughter has had a fever one and off for the last couple of weeks. I've given her tylenol and it went away and didn't come back for several days or a week. However, now she's had a fever straight since last night. I have her some tylenol and put her to bed and then she woke up about 1 a.m. which is not like her and I picked her up and she was burning up again. Gave her some more tylenol and put her back down again and then she woke up again at 6:00 and had a fever again. Is this normal for teething or do you think she may have something else?

Does teething pain stop once the tooth has broken through the suface of the gum?

My eigth and a half month old baby is getting his first tooth. It is just above the surface of the gum and i can feel the sharp edge to it. I wondered if the pain has stopped now that it has reached the surface or if the pain continues as the tooth comes all the way through.

How long can babies teething last for their first teeth?

My daughter started teething at 3mths...first tooth popped out at 9mths! Every child is different! Although they never worked for my daughter (BTW- nothing does)...most parents sware by teething tablets. Even the teachers at my daugther's daycare call those the "happy pills" for teething babies.

EDIT: Acelya - Some babies are born with teeth. No age is "to early" for teeth.

EDIT: Yes...it comes and goes. On the bad days (if tablets don't work) give a dose of tylenol to help ease the pain.

Do babies feel teething pain?

I seem to remember that some doctors think the whole idea of teething pain is imagined and they don't get it all. Is this the case or do all babies get teething pain?

How long does teething usually last in 2-year-olds? When can I look forwards to a full night's sleep again?

There isn't a set time frame but no matter how long it is, it will seem like an eternity if you're sleep-deprived. Ask your pediatrician about ways to ease the pain so you can both get some rest. When my 2nd son was teething I was also caring for my premature 3rd son who had to be woken every 3 hours to be fed. Being that I was in a "special circumstance" my pediatrician suggested a medication that numbed his gums and made him drowsy. (I won't name it here as I don't want anyone treating their child without a doctor's instructions.) I also found it helpful to give a pre-emptive dose of an anti-inflammatory before I put him to sleep rather than waiting until the pain woke him (us) up. Please consult with your child's doctor before giving any medication on a regular basis... Even over the counter remedies. Good luck and hang in there.

How long does Orajel last?

Ok..Two issues you will have to deal with..(1) The OraJel will last long enough to get you through a meal and how long it will last will depend on how much you use...(2)..This is the big one. If you get the OraJel on your tongue it will numb your taste buds and much of the food you eat will have no taste...Foods that have their taste projected by way of smell will not be affected....Now all you have to do is figure our which ones fit which category...Good luck and I wish you well.

How long does teething of the first tooth typically last?

My daughter is a week shy of 4 months. She has been having what I'd consider teething symptoms for the last week or so -- Low-grade fever not going over 100, extreme fussiness, runny nose, only shows relief when gnawing her fists or a teething ring, etc.

My question is... with your child, how long did it take from the time teething symptoms heavily began until the first tooth came through? Also, I've heard the first tooth is the worse ... was this the case with your child or is my child likely to have this pain/behavior for the next several months?

My daughter has been sleeping through most of the night since 3 weeks old (sleep 5-7 hours, wake for a bottle, and then sleep 4 more hours). For the past week, she is waking up every 2-3 hours and has been getting MUCH more fussy than she ever has before. Has anyone else had this problem? And how long until it resolves itself? Or does it?

Thanks for any advice/stories/suggestions you guys can share!
