How Long Should I Wait Between Ear Stretching

How long should i wait between ear stretching?

When there is no pain, swelling, redness of any kind, and the jewelry starts to feel a little loose. The amount of time is different for everyone. At the tiny sizes you're at, the wait is much less than at bigger sizes. 4-6 weeks is likely longer than necessary to go from 12 to 10g. However, 4 days is likely a little to short for anybody. Wait at least a week.

How long do I wait between stretching my ears?

I'm currently at 00g.
I first went from 12g to 8g, I skipped 10g.
Then i waited 2 months with 8gs, because I skipped 10.
Then I went onto 6 and waited a month
Then went to 4g I thought that is where I was going to stay so I stayed on 4g for 3 months.
Then went to 2g which slid in because I waited so long.
Then with 2g I waited 3 weeks to go to 0g.
After 0g I waited 2 months..
and now I'm at 00g .(:
Then small stretches 16-8, you can wait like 2 weeks.
Then 6-2 wait like a Month and a half..
Then 0+ wait like 2 months.
Hope I helped.

About how long should you wait between stretching your ears from 10g to 8g?

going from a 10 to an 8 wasnt a big deal for me. I only waited about a week and they just slipped right in. Most people say to wait 4 weeks or so but I say when you think its the right time. You can tell when your ears can take the stretching and when they cant and you can tell when your ears have healed from the stretching.

When you get to 6s and up though, you need to wait longer so you don't have a blowout. Plus when you get up in sizes its harder to get them in. I have been wrapping a piece of electrical tape around my gauges every other day or so to help stretch them to the next size.

good luck!

How long should I wait between ear stretching?

When I was like 12, my ears were at a 14g, and it wasn't until I was 14 that I stretched my ears again. I skipped a 12 and just went to 10g. Don't tell me that it's stupid of me to skip sizes, I already know this, and I don't need to be lectured. I'm still 14, and I've had 10s for 2 weeks. I should be getting 8s for Christmas in a few days from my brother since my parents don't know about my stretched lobes. :P My ears currently don't hurt at all, and I can easily take them in and out. Should I wait another 2 weeks to stretch? If not, how long should I wait?
By the way, I clean them every day with warm water and this antiseptic stuff I got when I got my ears pierced a few years ago.

How long should I wait between stretching my ears?

First of all it IS called STRETCHING not GAUGING. Gauging is a form of measurement you retard (answer above mine). You wouldn't say "hey guys check out my centimeters" or "I'm milimetering my ears today". What the hell is with all the negative and ignorant comments? It's your body and your choice for whatever reason, and you're at a very small size which shouldn't even be considered "gross" or "nasty". Anyway, it will take about 1 month to heal and if you plan on going to bigger sizes I would follow this rule...wait one month to heal, then wait 2-4 weeks to stretch. Some other tips...invest in some Jojoba oil or Vitamin E oil, it is very good for scar tissue whether you're ears are fine or not, it will speed up the healing process. Once again if you plan on stretching to bigger sizes, more of a reason to look into facts, experiences and reccommendations by professionals/piercees. For plug jewelery, it is highly recommended to use glass, steel, metal, or stone material for freshly healed stretches/piercings. Acrylic, silicone and wood materials are NOT a good idea for newly healed lobes or stretching to the next size with this material, because of their porous texture, they retain bacteria and wood can actually expand slightly if you get it wet.(wood is quality, but is not made for freshly healed piercings, acrylic is the absolute worst.) For stretching tips, try to use tapers, I don't care if you've read or seen friends using straws or pencils or bottle caps, any foreign material that isn't steralized will not be safe. Overall, dont risk it and do anything stupid. I've made mistakes with my lobes before, and you will either be stuck with cat butthole looking ears, or starting from the beginning and downsizing. It wont make you any cooler on how fast you stretch your ears, it's your body so take care of it. In the end, you'll be stuck with them attached to your head, so be wise.

Stretching your ears, how long should I wait between stretches?

I didn't ask for anyones opinion on stretching. SO if you don't mind, shut up. I am into piercings, body mods, and tattoos. If you are not, please stay out of my question. Thanks.

How long should i wait when ear stretching?

I just got my ears pierced at size 18.

I want to stretch them eventually, but I wanna know how long should i wait before going to a 16?

Like would it be bad to do it before the hole fully heals?
cause 16s aren'tthat much bigger

also, how long should i wait inbetween stretching after 16s? like a month?

How can an ear stretching go wrong?

If you try to stretch your ear to too big of a size, (like skipping sizes) or if you try to stretch too quickly, it can result in a blowout or infection. You need to wait for your ear to be completely healed before stretching to the next size, and there should be barely any pain when you do. If there is, stop, and try again in a few days.

How long should i wait to stretch my ear from 2mm to 4mm?

Well the first thing I must stress is ear stretching/gauging is a SLOW process, 2mm are very easy to get in mine went in straight away as it's tiny but 3mm was a b**ch to get in, if you shove in 4mm it's just not going to go in and it will probably tear your skin...vaseline up A LOT or do this in the shower, get a 3mm stop skipping sizes it's not big an clever and wont get your stretcher to a bigger size faster, it will just increase your chances of a blow out, push it through slowly and push the bands on the taper up every now and then to get it to fully go through, whatever you do you must vaseline up, once it is in leave it in for around 3 weeks until it is FULLY healed, keep it very clean or else it will start to smell and you increase your chances of infection... remember tapers are temporarily used for stretching once you get to your desired size you want to stick at put a plug in. *TOP TIPS* when you get to aroun 6mm/8mm use squishy plugs to stretch up instead of tapers, fold them in half pop them in the hole let them expand slowly, much less painful/harmful way of stretching up, also another *TOP TIP* wood and metal plugs are better for your ears than plastic as plastic tends to stink out your ears more but remember only to stretch up with plastic then pop a wooden or metal plug in you shouldn't be stretching with wood or metal :)

How long after I get my ear lobe piercing done can I stretch it?

The typical wait is about 6 months. That gives the body time to fully heal and not risk any tears from fresh skin. The fistula is fully formed and the collagen is fully there and structured. Still, safe stretching procedures need to be followed. The general idea is to gradually increase as the skin stretches itself and you can't skip sizes with that. Go for one size every 2–3 months and be sure there is no pain.(A good reference or two would be Elayne Angel and the APP or the association of professional piercers.)
