Why didn't Amazon take out the money from my debit card after I ordered an item?
All good answer but I work within the Amazon infrastructure. The reason Amazon doesn’t automatically debit the money from your account is for two reasons. #1 the customer order may have been a mistake, so Amazon puts a 1 hour hold on the items to allow the customer to cancel the order if it was in fact a mistake. #2 as others have said, if after processing the system determines that you have several orders pending in the queue, it will charge your card only when the items ship. However, if it is a single item and customer shipment is generated based on the best logistics possible and your card is automatically charged. Now, it gets different with vendors that have a front in which the product is sold by and shipped by their site. In this case, the card is debited only when the items ship, even if it is a single item, the 1 hour hold also takes place before the vendor is alerted of the transaction which, their system must send an authorization to active the customer shipment within the network.
How long until a debit card refund shows up in my account?
Hello, I purchased something on my debit card. Yesterday I supposedly got that amount refunded back onto my debit card, but when I look online at my bank account, I don't see anything about the refund or the company that did the refund anywhere on my statement. Is that normal? Thanks!
My ulta return money won't show up on my credit card but the debit return did right away?
I returned a couple things at ulta. One purchase was made with my debit card, and the other one was made through my credit card. The money I received back from my debit showed up right away, but not the money for the credit. Why won't it show up and will it show up soon? Just wondering. I thought it would say "pending" but it doesn't show up at all. I don't return a lot of things so I don't know how it works too much. Thanks!

It can take up to 31 days for the payment to be posed to your account. Seems ridicules since it only takes 2 seconds for the funds to come off. Give it 8-10 days which is normal and then call if it's not posted by then. The longest I ever had to wait for a credit card refund was as quick as 5 days and as long as 18 days. mx

Returned an item and got money credited back to BB&T debit card; how long until the money shows up?
