How Long Will Allstate Let Me Keep Rental Car

Do I get any money back if I cancel my Allstate home renters insurance?

Regardless of the insurance company, any type of policy can be cancelled. Normally, with a call to your insurance company and your signature on the required paperwork.Once the company receives your signed cancellation request listing the date that you would like the policy to end, your unused premium will be refunded to you on what is called a pro-rata basis. Meaning that you will only be charged a premium for the days that the policy was in force. Some companies may charge a penalty if the policy is cancelled within the first 60 days. So, yes, you will get any money back that you are owed.A couple other things to keep in mind. Most companies will not go back more than 30 days on a cancellation request. If you are requesting a backdated cancellation of more than 30 days, the company will either require proof that you secured other insurance on that date or may refuse to backdate the cancellation all together. In some instances, the policy will be cancelled on the date of request (your fist contact with the insurance company).

How long will Allstate let me keep rental car?

One of my neighbors backed into my car, their insurance, Allstate accepted fault. They asked me if i needed a rental car and I did so I could get to work. Enterprise called me on Tuesday saying Allstate set up a reservation for me to pick up the rental car whenever I was available. They estimated that the car wouldn't be totaled and that I could take it into any shop I wanted. However, the shop will not even be able to start working on it till June 9th (because of parts). Should I worry they'll want me to return rental before car is complete?

Vandalism to car… what should I do? (Allstate)?

AGAIN, I’m NOT looking for rude comments or people who have nothin better to do than talk crap… people on here just look for any little thing to point out please only comment if you have an informed answer or had your car vandalized before or know someone who personally dealt with something like this. I would have got my car fixed ASAP if I DIDNT WORK 55 hours a week at different locations or could AT LEAST have gotten a rental car. I don’t have rental car included on my policy, and Im not even old enough to rent a car myself. I called several companies and they said you have to be 25. Looking for INFORMED answers. Thank you !!

Car accident...question about allstate insurance.?

I love it when someone else attempts to speak for what someone will or won't do (call you in an hour, call you asap). Sounds to me the claims person is extremely swamped OR not in the office. Call and speak with her FPL, using those 3 letters exactly.....chances are the FPL has already been in the file and left many notations for the adjuster to call you asap to resolve the claim. Otherwise you'll have to go thru your insurance and your insurance will subrogate against Allstate.

Can I force Allstate to replace my bumper?

If Allstate is NOT your insurer, you don't get all new parts. All you get is usual and customary repairs - which is all required by law.

Theoretically, if it's properly repaired, it won't affect the value.

And I don't think they are allowed to put Bondo on bumpers - because it would affect the crash performance.

Go to YOUR insurer, under YOUR collision, and if they'll replace it without bondo (you pay your deductible), then they'll subrogate and get your deductible back. It will take a while, but it can be done.

In the United States, where car insurance is mandatory, should there be a way to buy less insurance if you only drive your car very rarely?

First of all, how old is your car? If the value is down below $5,000 there is a possibility that you should not be insuring your car for Comprehensive or Collision. The way YOU figure it out is to divide the current value less your deductible (what you would get back if you put in a claim) by the annual premium (for 6 month policies double your 6 month premium). This will come up with a pay back period (Year dot 10ths of a year). Never keep the coverage if the number is less than 3 years, definitely keep it if it is over 5 years. In between, you will have to decide on your own.If the reason that you aren’t driving a lot, is because you are out of town (without your car) a lot, some companies, like Allstate, will allow you to temporarily suspend coverage, without giving up your policy. Many companies give credits for “low annual mileage” (differs by company as to what low mileage means). If you are a good driver, you don’t do jack rabbit starts, you don’t stop frequently by jumping on the break, and HAVE LOW ANNUAL MILEAGE some companies have a device that plugs into your car’s computer port, read this information, and give large credits, such as Progressive & Allstate.DON’T reduce your liability limits if you have substantial assets to protect.Hope this helps!

Will your insurance company cover a stolen car if you left your key inside?

In England no.In fact even if you admitted that you had left your key in one of those magnetic key boxes under the car they would not pay out.If your car is stolen in England the first thing you need to show is BOTH keys to the car, just one set is usually a sign you were trying to commit a fraud and a reason not to pay out. Likewise if you do not have all the documentation.I had a friend who left his keys in the car in London whilst paying for gas and someone drove off in the car.In total he lost over £26,000 for the car and what was in it.Plus he lost his no claims discount as well when he replaced the car and had to pay the full premium the following year even though the insurance company did not pay out.Another friend in Bristol stopped outside a shop to buy a newspaper, took the keys but did not lock the car. When he got back to the car a guy was sat in the drivers seat as he opened the door and grabbed the keys which he had in his hand and drove off.The same, no payout, because he had ‘failed to secure the car’.In my experience insurance companies will use any excuse not to pay out, that is the way they work and make money.

Body Shop Supplement Request?

The body shop should be in charge of sending out the check to the lein holder. They have to write their estimate closet to the insurance estimate in order for them to endorse the check. Now the supplment might have been for damages that the adjuster did not see after the bodyshop tore down the vehicle. Theres no scam, if in fact the body shop did it cheaper, they might reissure the check for a cheaper amount

YOu can sign the check over to the body shop, the body shop will be incharge of sending it out to get their money. The supplement check might come out to you but the usually pay direct to the body shop.

You can talk to the bodyshop about them keeping the entire check and you not having to pay your deductible. Also since you will give them the check, they should give you your car since the check will go the them, What state are you in?

I work for a body shop in Texas, we usually help people with there deductible as long as its 500. We also give them money back as an incentive for bringing their vehicle in. Sorry that you took them to some sorry *** people. But yeah just hand them over the check so you can get your car.

If its 1000 then just ask them for assistance, and maybe next time you can try to call different Bodyshops and ask them what can they offer you. It helps to ask. Have a good one.
