How Long Will He Be In Jail Help

HELP!! will he go to jail for a half oz of weed if so how long.?

Arkansas cannabis laws:

Possession of less than 4 oz. of marijuana is a Class A Misdemeanor, punishable by up to 1 year in jail and a fine of up to $2,500.

First time possession offenders may be sentenced to parole for a period of not less than one year, in lieu of jail time.

Possession of between 1 oz and 4 oz by an offender who has had 2 or more previous drug convictions is a Class D Felony, punishable by up to 6 years in prison and a fine of up to $10,000.

How long can you go to jail for helping in a robbery?

Okay so I was just think like if your like driving the getaway car how long do you go to jail? Like you just wait there but you still get caught? What would they sentence you to?

How long would his jail stay be for a $500 fee? HELP URGENT!?

My boyfriend just went to jail. We were pulled over for not having insurance. The cop said the ticket is $500, but also, he had a warrant. About a month and a half ago he had paid this warrant off (and not knowing he had a court date, he missed it) and now he's in jail.

Would it be worth it to get a bail bondsman on Monday for bail? Or should he just stay in jail?
How long do you think he will be in jail if he had a $500 fee?

His warrant was for trespassing and that was almost 2 years ago. He has paid his original fine for it, he just didn't go to the court date.

How can I help my friend that is in jail?

By keeping in mind that what you consider helping, and what he considers helping, may be two polar opposites.I tried to get my loved one detox, rehab, Obamacare, vocational training, group therapy, individual therapy, rides and food.I vouched for him, pleaded for him, advocated for him through beauracracies. Made calls for him, drove him, waited for him, took middle of the night calls from him, and dropped everything to go pick him up.I wanted to help him get better. He saw no point, and just wanted to keep getting high. The “help” he wanted was to remove the consequences of his repeated fuckups and (I later learned) crimes.Unfortunately, he's in prison now.Your friend may feel that the most helpful thing you can do is bring contraband.Or contact someone on the outside.Or do something which will endanger him even more.Or endanger yourself.I was also warned against sending signals that the inmate has access to money. This can turn the inmate into a target for extortion. And you could end up spending your own hard earned money on other inmates just to keep your friend from getting beaten.Perhaps asking your friend to write a list of ways you could help him would clarify things, and you could consider the pros and cons and how to be most effective.Don't get played.Do expect continuing requests. And don't be surprised if you don't get gratitude.I hope this is helpful.

How long will my boyfriend be in jail? need help pleaseee?

i am in north carolina and 3 years ago my boyfriend was found having a quarter of weed on him and a knife and a airsoft gun in his trunk.at school then he worked at wendys and he stole a deposit. idk how long his probation was at the time but he has violated for the 3rd time. idk what he did the first time but the second time he was out walking his dog (he had a to be in by 6 or something) when the PO showed up but she saw the his car was there and he got 6 months house arrest. now he got arrest 2 months after that b/e his po came by for a visit just to make sure he lived where he is living. and she found 2 knifes and alcohol plus i think parifanela and she gave him a 50000 dollar secured bond and most likely 3 years in prison. Will this happen? hes a good guy and he doenst mean any harm the only reason he has knifes is b/e he delivers pizza and thinks he might get robbed. also he is 20 years old if that helps. also he is a manager at dominos and is the best and is next iin line for his own store and everyone loves him and he has a second job at pizza hut and he works 7 days a week. my mom wants to testify b/e he is always at my house and we dont even do anything but hangout and also the owner of dominos wants to too

POSTING AGAIN. How long will he be in jail with a 6000 bail?

bail has nothing to do with jail time. Bail is set between the time of arrest and the time of trial. He can pay bail and be released, but he'd still have to appear at the trial, where he'd be found guilty or not guilty. If found guilty, he'd go to jail for however long again (and there'd be no bail or anything, obviously, he'd have to stay in jail for however long he was sentenced for.)

Bail price is based on the flight risk and the severity of the crime, but has nothing to do with how long he'll be in jail after sentencing. It simply lets him go home for however long until he has the trial.

So basically you get arrested and they take you to jail. You can then pay bail and be released, or stay in jail. Either way, when your trial comes you have to appear in court, at which time you'll be found not guilty and set free, or found guilty and sentenced. Your sentencing has nothing to do with bail.

How long will it take for a jail inmate to receive my letter?

Assuming the jail isn't overcrowded, understaffed, he's in the general population and behaving, and your letter does not contain any suggestive or forbidden language, code, residue, or questionable objects, he should get it within 72 hours. If the jail does have these problems, it can take a week or more.

If you had anything to do with his crime or are a suspect, they may forbid him from reading the letter at all (especially if you have a warrant). I'm not accusing; I'm just saying.

If he is in solitary, he may not get it until he's out and back in with the general population.

If he's in the psychiatric unit, it can vary based on his mental status, letter content, etc. (ex. if he's suicidal and your letter contains phrases that could cause more harm, they may withhold it, or vice versa if they feel the letter will help his condition).

This is all based on what I know about our county's jail (I'm a police officer) which for all I know could be waaay off from what your county's jail does. Recently I've been working with an inmate for an open case we are investigating and every time I've gone to interview him and ask how he's doing, he breaks down sobbing because he isn't allowed to read the mail from his mom because of some stupid mail violations. (Don't be surprised if you get your mail returned to you because of a violation--check with the jail to make sure there aren't any requirements you must meet!! Jails take this very seriously just as prisons do!)

Also, don't be alarmed, worried, or surprised if you don't hear from him for awhile (weeks to a month or more). This is not unusual or his fault. If that happens, you could try arranging a phone call session with him or a visit--again, assuming you are not involved with the crime.

Anyways, good luck with everything and I hope your bf will be able to get his life back on track after he's served his time. Hang in there. :)

How long will he be in jail for a violation of probation?

So my boyfriend is a reoccurring offender but he is trying to do good. His last time in jail was for battery and assault but he was just defending is girlfriend at the time. He was sentenced to 12 months but only served 10 well he has 9 years probation. when he got out we was living with his brother. Well after a week there he got into an argument with his brother and he kicked him out. so he was staying with me. Any ways he was wanting to get the rest of his stuff from his brothers house but his brother said not before you apologize to his fiance. well my boyfriend didn't like that too much because he didn't do anything to her. She misunderstood a joke that wasn't even about her. So he told him that and his brother called him a punk *** *****. So of course any one would say something back to that. Lee (my boyfriend) said ill show you a punk *** ***** ill meet you on your front porch. Well his brother called the cops on him. So Lee knew that he was gonna go to jail cause that's a violation of probation (making threats). Well when we went to his probation officer he asked if he had a warrant and he told him no. And he always was stopped when he was walking by the police and they took him name and he still was in the clear. Well today the police show up in my yard three of them at that to take him to jail. WTF... i don't understand it. So now my question is how long do you think he will be locked up this time. he never actually showed up to his brothers house or even hit him.
