How Long Will It Take Me To Get Toned

I'm thin but I'm not in shape, how can I get toned and how long will it take?

You need to adjust your diet and lift weights. I recommend you start by reading "Starting Strength" by Mark Rippetoe. You can get it on Amazon. It will take several years until you are muscular, that is if you don't want to take steroids. But you will feel better and have more energy a few weeks after starting to lift.

How long will it take me to get toned while boxing?

you need to change your diet, drop carbs after 12 pm.you need to watch your BMI and get it perfect.in a boxing gym where you have classes and conditioning it should take you at least 6months to  a year training 2-3 times a night.boxing is extremely unnatural and if you want to be a great boxer you need to start only on your foot work and your ankles before you start practicing your bag work.the best way to get toned is preparing for the fight you have ahead. you need to get your self in the mind frame of "if i work harder now, i will be making it easier for me when im in the ring with a guy whos trying to knock me out.hard work, lots of pain, and only for 6 - 12 minutes of glory in a fight night.

How long will it take for me to get toned abs?

First off, despite all the claims of gadgets and weight loss ads on TV, you can't lose weight in "problem areas" that being said, your already have abs you just cant see them yet. You don't have to do another crunch ever, but it is good for your posture if you balance it with back exercises like the "superman". You simply need to eat right and consume less calories than you take in. Build muscle as well as cardio, and I don't mean turn into a bodybuilder, that requires steroids anyway. You will lose weight all over including your belly. Heres another tidbit you may or may not know. Abs are genetic, and I think men are more predisposed to have visible defined abs. Not everyone can have a 6-pack, some have 4 other have 8, some just have flat tummies or they may look like rectangular plates or rounded bulging abs. I know you know what I'm talking about. Look at female fitness models, they're all fit and trim, but they don't all have 6 packs. So your stuck with the type of abs you have for the most part. If you flex and feel you abs, what do they feel like underneath? can you feel ripples/ridges or is it relatively smooth? Thats what your going to have when you trim the fat off.

Back when I was a fitness fanatic I was well defined, but the stomach was the hardest part. At my trimmest I was 195Lbs 6'1" and about 9-12% body fat (BTW Im a Guy) I had a 6-pack, but all I could ever seem to show was 4, those lower abs just never got there. No biggie, I could have tried harder, killed myself in the gym to get there, but I looked better than 90% of guys. It was good enough for me. You should be thrilled with how you look based on those stats. If you want to look better, great but don't get obsessed with it. Of course there are worse things to be addicted to than fitness I suppose, good luck. The source below will help you trim a few lbs, it free and has a lot of good info and tools

How long will it take me to tone up my stomach?

Honest answer it depends! Realistically, you are looking at a few months but should start to see results after a few weeks of healthy eating which is absolutely key when it comes to stomach/abs because exercises only strengthen the hidden muscles! You need to start attacking the layer if flab. Explosive cardio, run flat out fir a minute, walk for a minute, repeat 5 times. 100m on the rower as fast as you can, 15 sec rest, repeat 5 times.

LOTS if water, 2litres a day, avoid starchy carbs like bread, pasta, potatoes and sugar. You MUST watch sugar intake and saturated fat in take. Eat bans and porridge in the morning and eat 5 small healthy meals a day- keep metabolism burning, and add herbs and spices to meals. Plenty if protein- chicken and tuna. Then a cheat meal every 10 days- anything! Junk food now and then actually is good for the metabolism. It's more easy than it sounds, trust me!!!!!

If I do 20 squats a day, how long will it take me to get toned thighs and butt?

20 squats isn't very much, but 50-100 a day will give you a great bum/thighs in no time! (about a month or so depending on how your body works!)I know it may seem like a lot, but if you do it at different times in the day, you will feel great! Spread your work out out throughout the day for best results when it comes to squats!
As for 20 squats, I would say it would take about 4 months to become super toned.

I also suggest doing planks, and side planks, that will help you so much! There's so many great workouts out there!

Hope this helped!

How long does it take to get fit and toned?

Ok the thing to note is that toned means two things.
One an increase in muscle mass and two a reduction in body fat, thus revealing your new muscles.

I would generally say a good couple months would be required at least. If you want to work to it what I recommend is the following. Start to weight lift, especially back squats, this will work the legs, back and more importantly your core. Bench press, pull ups and press ups are great for arms and chest. Outside of that ensure a healthy diet, eat lean meats (for fat reduction and protein) [rather than fatty ones] and cut out junk food.

How long would it take me to get a toned stomach?

There's a saying: abs are made in the fridge, not in the gym... If you want a flat stomach, or your abs to show, then you need to get your body fat percentage around the 10% mark (15% mark for girls). This can only be achieved through a sustainable diet.
Try these few simple principles, and stay clear of fad and crash diets: http://www.fitness666.com/2012/06/weight...
There are a number of workouts that target your abs, but because you cannot spot reduce fat (you cannot target a particular area of the body for fat reduction ; when you lose fat, you lose it all over), unless you do these in conjunction with a calories deficit diet, you will grow strong abs, but they will be hidden beneath a layer of fat. That said, working your abs will definitely help you add definition once you get there. Try this workout, it's excellent, and it will work your core like there's no tomorrow: http://www.fitness666.com/2012/07/abs-an...

How long will it take for my chest to go from flaby to toned?

If you want to get toned fast. You need a consistent schedule. You have to work out at least 3 times a week or more, and it has to be on the same days. That is, if you work out on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday, the next weeks has to be the same days. This is because every-time you work out, your muscle tears and it needs some time to heal/build before your next workout, otherwise you won't be making much progress.

Also, running is good because it helps cut down on calories, there has to be breakdown in calories before muscle building, but if you need to get more toned, you might want to concentrate on that area, not just running....meaning: you have to start using workout equipments that is specifically built for that reason. And while you are at it, also try the abdominal crunch.....trust me, you will love your body by the time you do this consistently for 5 months or more. Again, you have to be consistent, and workout at least 4 -5 hours a day.

Running can be an everyday thing, it helps the heart, and of course stronger legs too. But muscle building should not be everyday, because every-time you stress or carry weights, it tears and in order for it to build, it has to heal. And the process keeps going....Tear - heal - build. Tear - heal- build. And before you know it, you are as big as hell in certain areas. Trust me, I know the feeling.....I worked out my guns in 3 months, and now I don't feel like stopping cos it looks damn good considering my size. It is quiet intimidating too. "If you are absolutely ready and motivated, you can do it by yourself; otherwise, you might want to try a personal trainer for just one month - just to see the effect.
Well, I hope this helps....

PS: If you have the time to work out everyday, then try muscle building every other day.

How long does it take to get toned in your chest?

Vague question. What is your body fat %? Won't notice muscle toning if you aren't fit as well. What is your exercise plan? Are you gonna be eating right (quality protein spread out with small meals throughout the day). If you are asking the best way to go about getting a muscular chest then that is a diff. question. Are you male or female? Too many questions to your 1 question. Update it and I will be happy to add to my response.

How long does it take to tone up your body?

It's first important to understand what 'tone' means and how it is achieved. A toned body is one where the muscle definition can be easily seen. There are three components to this:

1. How much fat you have.
2. Muscle size - if you have very small muscles it is harder to make them show, even if you have low fat.
3. Skin tone.

Fortunately, the same activity is best for building muscle and burning fat - weight training. You don't have to become an olympic weightlifter - just go to the gym and ask the trainer there to design you an all over body program. Then you won't need his/her help anymore. Spent 30 minutes 3 times a week doing the exercises he/she has taught you, making sure that you work hard and introducing some common sense variation like different numbers of sets or reps. Perhaps sometimes do a round robin (circuit) where you do one set of each exercise with not much rest in between.

Don't get too tied up in what is the right and wrong thing to do - if you spend 30 minutes working out hard three times per week, you will lose fat and gain muscle provided your diet is right. If you fancy it, so some work on the aerobic machines - but make this interval training not just a 30 minute slog - for example, 6 lots of cycling hard for 2 minutes then rest for 3. Intensity is the important thing, not duration. Doing lots of low intensity cardio just makes you hungry and is not the path to fat loss.

Diet: eat healthy, whole foods and let appetite be your guide. Avoid complex carbs like rice, bread, potatoes and oats - this will help your appetite to function better. Don't worry about having healthy fats like nuts, avocado and oily fish - these will help you feel full. Avoiding fatty food to lose weight is a myth and will only make you hungry. It's the complex carbs that are the bad guy.

Finally - darker skin always looks more toned because it helps the light to accentuate the curves of the muscles. If you already have dark skin then you are lucky! Otherwise, consider getting a tan - clearly you must respect the dangers of too much sun exposure, especially if you are fair skinned, but there is always the fake tan option...
