How Long Will It Take To See Butt Exercise Results

How long does it take for butt exercises to work?

I do a twenty minute workout for my butt almost every day (at home-lunges/squats etc) and it's been almost a month now. I don't really feel or see any results though..how long does it take for these sort exercises to work? I want to not only tone my butt, but 'lift' it since it's kind of flat :( Some people say it'll take half a year or even a year before real results can be seen, while some say it just takes a couple of months-which is true?
Also, is it ok if I do this twenty minute workout every day? Most trainers advise to do exercises three times a week. I try to do them every day (or every other) because I don't do any other exercise (I basically sit down all day long..).
Oh and last question: my bottom isn't exacty big but it's not small either. I want it to be rounder and more 'pushed up' so that's why I'm doing these exercises. I'm wondering though, if these exercises help tone or burn the fat, won't my butt become smaller? My goal is not that though, I just want a tighter butt but still keep it's fairly big size.
Thank you for your feedback!

How long will it take to see results from butt workouts?

You will FEEL the results (increased tone) long before any visible changes happen.

Next, you will detect increases in your capability (vert jump test etc).

When your programme has 'progressed' (upgraded the 'challenge') for several weeks, it will start to stimulate growth & shape gains.

After your glutes have been developing for three or four months, you are likely to start seeing fat loss, because these muscles (which burn mainly sugar during a workout) will burn more and more fat as their 'off-duty' fuel as they get stronger.

How long does it take to see results from plank exercises?

probably a long time dude, it depends on how often you do them during a week. It sounds like you are looking to get abs, planks are the basic level of getting abs and you can't get them along with just planks. So here it goes...
To start getting abs to show, you want to get a balance of having a low fat diet, introducing weighted strength exercises, sprinting(believe it or not) and home body workouts that put tension on your abs.

Try doing at least 2 sessions of weighted exercises a week, this helps to really blast your abs out and is your primary objective. Examples are seated weighted ab crunch/curl, medicine ball russian twists, resistance band sprinting.

Low fat diet- Imagine your abs are an underwater island, for it to appear you have to get rid of the overlaying water(fat).

Sprinting- All sprinters usually have a good six pack, even ronaldo and he has pace. This is because its a great way of removing excess body fat and at the same time is putting great tension on all of your core.

Home body workouts- planking and sit ups are wayy to basic, you want to do complex abs exercises that test all of your core muscles, here are my top 5: Accordian crunches, russian twists, scissor kicks, hanging bar raise(or captains chair leg raise) and 90 degree crunch. These exercises put so much pain and fatigue on your abs which is what you want, you will literally tear your abs so that they become bigger and have greater endurance.

How long before i see results in my butt from doing squats?

It depends on how big (and how strong) the muscles are right now, how much fat is laying over the top, how many squat you're doing, and whether you're doing them right.

It's possible to do squats and rely almost entirely on your quads and hamstrings to do the work, so you could see zero results. Make sure you're doing them right, and if your butt muscles aren't sore the next day, you probably did them wrong, did too few, or you're advanced past them being very helpful. Do them properly in front of a mirror until you do them right every time: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QKKZ9AGY...

If you're doing them right and still have no soreness from working the muscles, you can do other more intense exercises for glutes like hip thrusts with or without weights. If you are strong enough to do these without any soreness, do the exercise with dumbbell or barbell weights held across your hips until you *do* get soreness. That's the main indicator that the muscle is getting bigger. (how to hip thrust: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SEdqd1n0... )

To work the sides of the glutes and the upper glutes, all-fours leg lifts are ideal. Especially the "rainbow" shaped movement. You shouldn't need many to feel these! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bMK3jKJo...

If your butt is sore after each work out, you should see some progress in two or so weeks if your butt is fairly flat and doesn't have much padding. If you're fairly well padded, it will take a bit longer to "see" a bubble-butt, but in a month or so you should see a difference in the curve between the top of your thigh and butt (in profile), and your measurements might change a little.

How long until I see results from doing squats? I want a round butt.?

Oh come on....really? (*facepalms*)

Squats don't work out your buttocks. They don't. Doesn't matter how you do them--they work your quads (the big muscles in the FRONT of your upper legs) and calves (back of your lower leg, right below the knee) at best.

What you need to do are _lunges_. Look it up, "Lunges". Squat _Thrusts_ where you push your legs out behind you or beside you can also help, but the main thing is _lunges_. Actually work out the muscle you want to change.

Aside from that? If all you want is bigger and rounder, you need to do your lunges _slowly_, meaning with each repetition on each side, you take one second to do the lunge, _stay there_ for 8 seconds, then take 8 seconds more to _slowly_ stand back up. Yes, this will make you more sore and stiff than usual, whether you're using weights or not, that's how you know it's working.

Do lunges one day, squats the next, rest the third day. Repeat once, resting two days at the end of the week. It should work. Edit: How long depends on whether you use weights or just your own bodyweight. You'll get faster results with weights and fewer reps, if you use bodyweight it will take longer with more work. Either way you have to STICK to it for at least 3 to 4 months.

How long to see results on lunges and squats?

This is a common mistake people make. They think exercise alone will "tone" a muscle. By "tone" they really mean reduce fat in that area and build build muscle in that area. To reduce we must reduce our calories. To build muscle we must increase our calories. To build muscle, you also have to do the specific exercise for that muscle. So you need 2 things for building muscle: resistance exercise AND excess calories.

If you want your quadricep (thigh) muscles to pop out, then you need to build those muscles AND reduce the fat around them. So that entails changing your diet. 1 million squats won't do anything if your diet is not tailored to your goal - fat loss or muscle gain.

What type of exercise is needed to lift your butt? How often should you exercise? And how long for results?

Hip thrusts, glue bridges, squats (go low and squeeze the glutes at the top), deadlifts (especially stiff leg), lunges, good mornings, step ups etc.

Generally though I would recommend a beginner train for strength. You can focus on size later if you wish.

How long it takes exactly depends on your routine, your diet, genetics, your goal etc. Don't expect fast results. Muscle gain takes time.
