How Long Will It Takes To Receive My Immigration Papers

How long does the Petition for Alien Relative ( I-130 immigration form) process take?

The beauty of filing at the embassy is that everything goes faster. If your mother filed an I-130 with USCIS in the U.S., they are taking about 5 months to adjudicate. It could be less than 5 months so she is probably half way through the waiting period.

After the I-130 is approved, the USCIS sends it to the National Visa Center. Then the NVC will proceed with the I-130 immediate relative case. After processing at the NVC, the case will be forwarded to the embassy in Panamá for an interview.

As your brother is only 17 years old, he will be in the IR-2 classification which is a classification with one of the fastest processing times.

How long will it take to receive an EAD card and an SSN?

You should receive your SSN card within 2 weeks after you have provided everything that is needed to process your application, including verification of your immigration document with the USCIS. If USCIS is unable to immediately verify your immigration document, it may take 2 additional weeks to receive your card.EAD approval (without RFE) usually takes 30–90 days from the date of receipt. After approval, it takes another 10 days to get approval notice by mail, and approx. 15 days to get EAD card. You can raise a request after 75 days to get the latest update.

How long will I get to receive my receipt after I filed N-400 application for Naturalization?

It took me about a month to receive a letter of receipt that the INS received my N-400 application.
Then it took about another 6 weeks before I received a letter to report for biometrics.
Then about 3 months for a letter to report in Federal court for ceremony.
Now, please remember, that this is how long I waited, it does not mean that you will have to wait this time--the time in which you wait may be shorter or longer.
Good luck to you!

How long does it take normally for spouse to receive temporary residency after wedding?

I am a U.S. citizen marrying my soon to be wife who is not legal, came here on temporary visa long expired. How long will it take after the wedding (very legit by the way) until she receives her temporary visa/green card? The reason I want to know is that unfortunately due to her status at the moment, we won't be able to go on a honeymoon right after the wedding. I would hope we can within a couple of months after. I guess it may depend on certain factors? Also, assuming she would be able to travel once she receives temp. visa, does that only apply travel within the US or can we travel outside (i.e. - Carribean, Bahamas, etc.) Any feedback would be much appreciated!

How long does it take for my husband to have his papers ?

As Yak Rider said, it depends on his situation. How did he come to USA (on a visa or illegally)? How many time did he leave the country and came back (illegally)? Any arrests, convictions, use of fraudulent documents, etc.?

Your being a USA citizen helps, but doesn't give him an automatic right to stay in USA.

Assuming that for the past 9 years, you haven't done anything to help him to fix his illegal status, I assume that he came to USA illegally. If so, he will need to go abroad to apply fo a visa and a hardship waiver when your initial petition is approved. That could be a very long and expensive process. You should consult a lawyer (not a 'notario") to at least to evaluate his situation, eligibility and chances. There could be some other options if he is in removal proceedings in immigration court.
