How Long Would A Tattoo Take

How long would it take to get a tattoo on your finger?

I'd say 15 min. tops. I got a small tattoo on my wrist, & it took less than 15 minutes. Your tattoo artist will take your design & fine tune it. He/she will make sure you are happy with it & go over what colors (if any) you want. If it's your first time, they will make sure you're ok when they actually start inking you. Since it's on your finger, they'll probably have you sit in a chair & do it that way. Since it's smaller, they will probably do it all at once unless you want to take a break. I remember with my first even though it was small, he said he could stop if it was uncomfortable. As far as how it feels, I personally wouldn't say it hurts -- it is just uncomfortable. After you get it, you'll need to follow whatever instructions they give you: for me, I wasn't allowed to get it wet for 2 weeks. And I had to put aquafor on it daily for 2 weeks as well. After that, an unscented lotion like Eucerin. It will feel almost like a sunburn for awhile, but thats about it as far as pain.

How long would a tattoo this size take?

I love animals so much I can hardly put it into words. I'm in high school, and I plan to go into the veterinary field. To show my promise and dedication to fulfill this, I want to get a small tattoo of a paw print on my wrist. I like this design, but wouldn't want it to be this big, maybe a quarter to half the size of this: http://i52.photobucket.com/albums/g36/ma...

It would probably be either purple, (like the animal rescue site paw print), black, grey, or brown.

My question is, how long would a tat this size take? I have a needle phobia so this would also be a chance to face my fear. I don't have any tattoos currently, this one would be my first (and last)! I know the consequences of tattoos, and that I might regret getting it. I'm a person with strong moral values and would not be doing this to rebel or to fit in, I just want to show my love for animals and the promise I've made to myself and family. After all, there is always tattoo removal...

How long does it take to get a small tattoo?

This all depends on the detai of the tattoo. If there isn't much detail, then it should only take a few mins to actually tattoo you. It will take longer because you have to go in, they have to draw it up, they make to make sure everything is clean and sanitary, they have to make a stencil then put it on you, if you don't like where the stencil is then they will need to make another and do it all over again. The process of tattooing you will take just mins, but the entire thing could take about an hour.

How long does it take to get a small tattoo???

I have a small Scorpion on my shoulder, about 2" long, took about 1 1/4 hours, in black. Not particularly painful, but then the shoulder is probably the least sensitive area on the body. Good luck

How long does it take to get a one word tattoo?

Hello!
I was wondering if anyone knew how long it takes (like needle on skin time) to get a one word script tattoo. Nothing to fancy (not a lot of swirling or anything), about a half inch high and 7 letters long in plain black ink (no color or anything) it will be on the foot (and don't bother warning me about foot tattoos, i already read up on them!!)

thanks!

How long would a small star tattoo take?

I agree with cassi....about 5 to 7 minutes and about $50. I have one on my ankle.

How long did it take to finish your upper arm tattoo?

I have a dragon tattoo that wraps around my bicep. If I remember correctly it took between 6–8 hours total, in 2 sessions. It’s about half of my bicep in length. The first session was the outline. Right under my armpit hurt like a motherfucker. No, there is no other expression for that pain. I had tears in my eyes. The second session was the shading. My tattoo is black and gray except for the tiniest bit of red in the dragon’s eye. That also hurt like a motherfucker under my pit.Seriously. If you can avoid the area just under your armpit, do it. It sucks.I will say that just getting the outside of the arm, to me, seems incomplete. Only because the arm is round and there’s a lot of empty space on the underside, especially if you are getting a big piece. But that’s just my opinion.

How long do tattoos last before they begin to fade?

Tattoo’s are permanent but they do fade, this is relative and depends on several factors. Some of the main factors include:The age of the tattoo.Exposure to the sun, always use sunscreen.Skin quality (some people tend to hold the ink better than others, whites, reds and yellows tend to fade the fastest.)exposure to water. ( being submerged for long periods of times over a long timespan MAY affect the tattoo)The quality of ink also affects the tattoo massively over time. So does the application of the tattoo and the placement (tattoos on the hands, feet and elbows fade rapidly in comparison to a tattoo on the chest or back.)Here’s all you need to know.

How long would it take to get a quarter sleeve tattoo?

Depends entirely on your image.
A friend of mine has two incredible images, on her arm for a 1/2 sleeve above the elbow. One took 2 very long sessions equaling 15 hrs. and the other 12 hrs.
But if your images are simple without much fill in, it could be much less.
It is all individual, and you need to take your ideas to a professional tattooist for a consultation to get an accurate estimation.

luck~
