How Lucky Can I Get A Townhome For 85 Thousand In Mn

How big should I make my dog house for my Golden Retriever pup?

HUGE! i used to have a golden retriever... (he died at age 14, when i was like 8) his dog house was big enough for me to fit in along with him, but i live in new hampshire, so we had to put blankets in there. But if your puppy is already 55 pounds, i bet he'll be very large, so make it big enough for a full sizzed dog(ask your vet how big he'll get, they can guesstimate it)

Are there scorpions in the yards and houses in San Antonio? If yes, how do you deal with them? I am about to move to beautiful SA from Minnesota. I know it will be hot.

San Antonio sits right in the heart of south Texas, so yeah, you can expect to encounter the occasional scorpion here. While for the most part, they do stay outside, occasionally you will find them in your home. This is generally not a problem in older more established neighborhoods, but if you are moving into a newer subdivision or newly built home, you can expect to see more than a few scorpions for the first couple of years as their habitat has been disturbed by the construction. That said however, don’t let that dissuade you from making San Antonio or any of the surrounding communities your new home! When you encounter a scorpion, it is usually best to catch them in a dustpan or plastic container and release them outside away from your home. They are generally small (3 - 4 inches from tip to tail). We are halfway through the second year in our newly built home and I’ve caught and released maybe 10 scorpions since we’ve moved in.

Do Westerners wear outdoor-shoes inside their homes as portrayed in tellies/movies? Don’t they maintain indoor slippers/shoes like Asians or others?

Okay, DC here.No one takes off their shoes while visiting, in my experience, unless specifically asked to because there are white carpets or something else that could be damaged. Or if there is bad weather, when obviously you don’t want to trek mess inside. It is normal for guests to keep their shoes on.Workmen, on the other hand, always assume they should take their shoes off, and usually bring little hospital slippers. It’s standard courtesy to homeowners not to trek dirt inside.I only know one household who grew up in this country where shoes have to come off, and that started when they bought really expensive rugs that they wanted to keep nice. I have visited several families where the homeowners came form other countries where all guests were expected to remove their shoes. They were sort of apologetic about it, like “we know this isn’t an American custom, hope you don’t mind.”Now, that is a VERY different question than what people do in their own homes. Like I suspect most Americans, I wear socks or slippers or nothing at all when I’m home, and have crappy shoes to slip into to go get the mail or do something in the yard, that I never wear past the foyer. If I go to work, I kick off my shoes when I get to the door. BUT I would not do that at a co-worker’s house without being invited to.I think the main point is that Americans (for as much as you can generalize) view shoelessness as casual dress . People visiting in a formal role don’t walk around in their socks. A lawyer who came to your house to discuss a contract would probably feel odd without his shoes on, like he’s not dressed properly. but when you have someone over who is a friend you may invite them to take their shoes off, not because it will protect the floors, but because you want them to be comfortable, and to treat your home as their own.In short, there is a symbolic association of shoelessness with casual comfort, and thus it becomes significant for many when they are invited to kick ’em off. And by the way, that is the actual phrase in English— “kick your shoes off” and “put your feet up” are both ways to say “relax and be yourself, you don’t have to put on a show of formality just for us.”Obviously in any situation where weather+decorating could damage the furnishings, shoes tend to come off regardless.

What is considered a good salary in the US?

It really depends on where you live. Others have mentioned $100,000. That would be very good in most places and is well above average. In Cleveland one could live very comfortably with that while in California, not so much. Household income in the United States According to How much do Americans earn? What is the average US income and other income figures. Fiscal cliff talks only useful in context of incomes. Only 20.8% of Americans have a household income of $100,000 or more.
