How much does it cost to replace a broken iPhone 6 screen in india?

My 6s’s screen was completely cracked. Even a brick had more functionality than it did at this point so I thought it would be a good idea and a huge money saver to replace just the screen instead of buying a new phone. I was wrong. Kind of. So I went to a legit apple repair outlet and the guy asked me about the problem, I pretty much addressed the issue in haste and left my phone to be picked up the next evening. I didn’t quite ask him how much it would cost and estimate to fix it but just left in a hurry to attend a wedding party. The next day, as I was handed my phone, he told me the screen cost Rs. 9500 + 500 ($150 ish) for service charge totalling 10k rupees. I flipped. I was even mad to the point where I wanted to tell him to undo the repair and give me back my phone in the wreck condition I came in with in the first place. But refrained. I could’ve bought a decent budget android phone with that money and still had some chump change and fill up my bike fuel tank full plus buy some ice cream lol.I dont know if he overcharged me kinda ripped me off or was it really the price for fixing a broken iphone 6 screen. I checked online on eBay etc and some screens were merely a quarter of what I paid for. With that being said, an apple product is not worth buying especially here in 3rd world India.In the aftermath of this whole BS, I switched to Samsung C7 pro after 3–4 months and it worked so smooth and had no problems and loving the samsung brand also mainly coz I’m not into this must have iPhone trend plus I couldn’t afford going up the pecking order of apple hardware update anyway and chasing the flagship would be a really tough grind. There should be no “set” age per se - but a range of ages. You must be mature enough to understand what happens, the dangers, the risks, but the benefits and advantages too. I got my first smartphone at 11, but started using phones at 8 (yes, I know, quite young - but I had valid reasons at the time). I read the news every day - in fact, it’s become so natural for me, I barely realise that I should open the app. It’s become one of my interests over the past several years and it has allowed me to develop my opinions, critical thinking, and analysis ability significantly.It also allows us to do our research. I’m personally quite a large aviation enthusiast, and my phone allows me to continue my hobby when I’m alone and travelling somewhere, for example. In other words, it saves a lot of time.Similarly, there are a lot of random questions that pop into people’s heads during the day. Smartphones allow them to research into the topic and understand more about it, or at the very least note it down for later use.Finally, since most teenagers in particular have WhatsApp/Snapchat/Facebook etcetera, it is important that others have a smartphone that is capable of such things too. This avoids social isolation - in fact, simply not having a smartphone and therefore having no access to WhatsApp/Snapchat alone can be a major factor in starting to feel socially isolated.That’s not to say that they’re never used for games by teenagers, but it’s hardly like teenagers/kids use it only for games.*I’m into technology, so it was great for me, because I learnt and accumulated a lot of knowledge about phones from quite a young age.
