How Many Chapters Is The Fault In Our Stars

Did they have sex in fault in our stars?

I initially was confused as well, thinking well maybe they only went so far in bed. I sourced this elsewhere, but it is a better explanation: It is a Venn Diagram, one circle representing the virgins and one representing 17 year old guys with one leg. The "17 year old guys with one leg" circle is now slightly outside of the "virgins circle" because at least one 17 year old guy with one leg is no longer a virgin.

In "The Fault In Our Stars", did Hazel die at the end?

I am only a young girl, in her teens. It comes very easy to me to understand meanings of books and the world around me. I too was afraid of oblivion. I too thought it was scary to not be remembered. In the movie, Hazel and Gus talk about their death outfits. I saw that as a foreshadow in my eyes. In the book and in the movie, No, Hazel doesn’t die, Gus does. Gus and Hazel shared their own infinity. I think that in the end when Hazel puts on the white dress and laid down on the grass saying, “okay” that was her way of saying that it was her time and that their infinity was too short. I always seem to want to know what happens after. It was very easy for me to understand what Hazel went through. Not the cancer, but the death of a close loved one. I thought like Hazel that my loved ones infinity would have been longer. My loved one died the same way Gus did. That is how i understand. Hopefully this helps.

What do you think of the fault in our stars?

I'm not totally sure what I can say to help. I read the book when I was 18 so I was a few years older than you and maybe I understood the book better? I'm not sure if that's the case. I felt like I understood Hazel's pain even though I've (fortunately) never had to go through it.

Actually, it may be because you're fourteen. I'm not saying you're not smart enough for this book or you're too immature-i"m not saying that at all. But now that I think about it when I was younger I would read Sarah Dessen books and think "These characters are boring and all the same" and I was never impressed, despite the fact that everyone raved about her. But as I got older I reread the books and now I love the so much because I understand them better and understand the way she writes. That could have just been something that has happened to me personally, though.

When I first read John Green books I was like 17 or 18 and I actually had trouble reading and understanding his writing style, but then I got use to it and it made more sense to me, so that could be it too.

And if that's not it, then you may not like the book. It's not a crime, I'm sure plenty of people weren't very impressed with it. I do really enjoy this story though.

I was reading "The fault in our stars " in the first chapter ,Hazel says "...or snorting groundup shark fin " can't understand this.?

It's a reference to unproven, pseudo-scientific "medical" remedies. "Snorting" means inhaling through the nose. "Ground-up sharkfin" is the fin of a shark that has been dried and ground into powder.

It is mentioned in the same sentence with "anti-cancer diets," so presumably it's some kind of quack "cure" for cancer.

Did 'The Fault in Our Stars' make you cry?

Did “The Fault in Our Stars” make me cry?Did “The Fault in Our Stars” make me cry?!?What I did when reading the book was an understatement of crying. While reading the book I absolutely fell in love with it, like the way you fall asleep- slowly and then all at once(yes, I just said that.) the waterworks didn’t start until the end of the book when.. ya know.. happens.I rarely cry to book/movies but both The Fault In Our Stars book AND movie managed to make me snuggle up in My comforter and just.. die. So Far I only cried when Severus Snape died in he book and I had a broken heart and watery eyes during Sirius Black’s death scene in the book and so far I haven’t cried to any other movie. But when reading the book, it didn’t just cause me to cry.. I like.. cant even explain it. So while reading it, tears were streaming down my cheeks and my eyes were so blurry I had to wipe them every couple of minutes because I was crying so much. But at the end of the book.. when Hazel said, “I do Augustus, I do.” I flipped the page.. and there was nothing there and I just.. I can’t even explain it.. I was already sobbing at that point.. and when I flipped the page my heart spilt in two.I didn’t even know one can feel that much. All of the emotion’s overcame me.Let me tell you, at first, I couldn’t believe it.. I first fur-EEKED the hell out.. if someone saw me they would’ve thought it was MY soulmate who had died. I wrapped myself in a blanket and cried and cried until there was no tears left and my face hurt, my body hurt and my eyes were as a red and puffy as a tomato.Yes, I had cried when I watched the movie.. a lot.. but not this much.I had only felt that emotion I had felt only a few times in my life. But you know pain.. it demands to be felt(yes, I had done that also.)~ ~ ~ ~To those who still have not read this miracle of a book, I highly.. HIGHLY recommend it.Sure.. it’ll make you cry but it’s one of the best books I’ve ever had the fortune to read.-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_

I have read The Fault In Our Stars and I'm a huge fan of teenage romantic movies. Should I watch the The Fault in Our Stars movie in theatre? Is it worth it?

If you’re an avid reader and have a heightened sense of literary intelligence, no you must not. In my observation, a movie adaptation of a story is rarely better than the book adaptation of the same story. A book lets you create your little virtual space where the events & details in the book are happening; a movie rarely does that. More than that in this particular case (the movie adaptation of ‘The Fault In Our Stars’), the acting seemed forced, many details got lost in the translation, and the scenes were not as analogous as I would have liked. To me, it seemed director cut out relevant sections of the book, poorly adapted them to the screen and bang, there you go, done! Seriously displeased with the movie!
