Not necessarily. In the United States, homeschooling can be an option for parents who wish to provide their children with a quality of education they believe is unattainable in schools. At present, however, most children are institutionally schooled. Families that homeschool in the USA are quite different demographically. 94% are non-Hispanic whites (compared to 71% nationwide). 97% of parents are currently married. (compared to 72%) 62% have 3 or more children (compared to 20%). Nearly all the mothers are stay-at-home housewives. 58% are Fundamentalist in religion (compared to about 10%) 64% of fathers have college or postgraduate degrees (compared to 24%) Average income was $52,000 in 1997, (compared to $36,000) Thus the profile is a group of well educated, high income white parents with several children and a possible strong commitment to fundamentalist religion. Opposition to home education comes from varied sources, including organizations of teachers and school districts. One example is the National Education Association, a teachers' union, which is the largest labor union in the United States. They are on record as opposing homeschooling outright; though, in recent years they have not been as outspoken in this opposition. Opponents state concerns falling into several broad categories, including: academic quality and completeness; reduced government money for the publicly-run schools; socialization of children with peers of different ethnic and religious backgrounds; and fear of religious or social extremism. Gallup polls of American voters have shown a significant change in attitude in the last twenty years, from 73% opposed to home education in 1985 to 54% opposed in 2001 [10]. Opponents view home-educating parents as sheltering their children and denying them opportunities that are their children's right, reducing the amount of government funds publicly-run schools would receive if more children were attending the publicly-run school, and providing an unfair advantage to home-educated children over students whose parents lack the time or money for home education. With regard to the latter point, however, parents choosing to homeschool often intend that to be the case.

As a Conservative, a lot of my questions and answers on YA are deleted. It's funny how Liberals are all about freedom, until somebody criticizes their socialist utopian fantasy. Then it's "Kill them all!" When the (Liberal) Twitter founder was asked about Twitter helping Trump get elected, he said that too much freedom might be a bad thing. So yes, Yahoo's deletions of anti-left information makes them a propaganda and lie machine. This is unfortunate... Instead of deleting, they should be learning.

Worst University ever you can go to. Not even a single thing is proper.If you are planning to join LOVELY PROFESSIONAL UNIVERSITY then hold back a second and listen to the reality here.I am a student here under BBA (HONS.) course and trust me this is not somewhere you want to be.ACADEMICSThe academics here is kind of average. The main problems are with the examination pattern. Even if it is a practical exam the whole question paper would be full be theory questions which is not good.The problem with datesheet is really serious and they always keep changing the dates randomly without notifying.HOSTELbeing a girl, yes you want security but not obviously a jail.For girls the hostels are just jails. Even if you have any emergency you have to let the warden know 6 hours prior leaving the hostel.Before every night leave or day leave they call the parents.Girls are not allowed to leave the hostel after 5.45 in evening no matter what happens.You cannot leave the campus even during the day. And the shop inside the hostel is not at all sufficient so yiu wint get anything to eat after 10 at night.If you are a girl then trust me...do NOT take hostels.They even forcefully took our rooms once to give them to their guests of ISC program and it was all at our OWN risk. Of all our belongings. Even if you are not willing, they are gonna do what they wanna do.INFRASTRUCTUREThey always keep contructing one or the other building yet they dont have a single guest house or rest room for parents to stay.If you have to travel from place to another then you are gonna get drenched in sweat or dust.LPU is one very stingy place amd like saves money on almost each amd everything.You won't even get another sheet in exams or rough sheet if you want an extra so.Do come here ONLY if you want to save tuition fees.Rest all...
