How Many Credits Are Needed To Get Adult Diploma

High School Diploma or Adult School Diploma?

You could always try going to an online high school. That way, you could get a real high school diploma, but you could work at your own pace. There are several legitimate online high schools out there. You just want to make sure that the one you choose is regionally accredited. Here is the website for a really good school called The American Academy. They are accredited, and they also have a TON of classes to choose from. http://www.theamericanacaemy.com.

I hope this helps! Good luck finishing school, no matter what you decide to do!

Getting Diploma from Adult School.?

Let me try to break this down so I can understand better!

You dropped out of high school in your senior year.

You have fewer than between 4 and 6 credits from getting a regular high school diploma.

You are two years older than a regular high school graduate or age 20.

You don't want a to get a GED because you would feel better having a diploma.

Thinking.....

Would you be willing to go back to your high school at age 20 and attend the classes you missed and finish earning your diploma? Your age difference shouldn't be all too noticeable, no? Give it a shot; why not?

How many credits do you need to graduate high school in idaho?

it depends on which district and whether the school is on the semester or trimester system

Can you get a GED and a high school diploma?

Yes but it's redundant and not necessary. My suggestion… instead go to community college and get your degree. You'll love college. I'll share a secret with you. I dropped out of school at the end of 8th grade. I got a GED at 18. I felt like a loser. They had a graduation. I didn't want to go. I felt embarrassed. A friend encouraged me so I reluctantly went. A young man got up to speak. He started his speech with, “4 years ago I sat right where you are…”. He got my attention at that point. He went on to say he now had a bachelors degree. And I heard nothing else after that. Those two short sentences inspired me. I realized I could erase my GED by getting a college degree. And so I did. In 1994 I managed my way into Florida State University and graduated with a 3.8 Gpa and a degree in Social Work. I vowed to pass on that young man's good deed helping others in go to college. So if you are the one who got the GED be proud and go to college. You will love it. If it is a child or friend go tell them you are proud of them and share this story with them then tell them you believe in them. Getting a GED means you were smart enough to not attend high school and still pass. So move on and don't stop there. Yes I secretly have many moments where I regret not going and wish I could go get a real HS diploma but then I remind myself that it was part of my journey. Had I not gotten a GED I could never have inspired People to go to college and not give up. So there you have it. Sometimes what people do isn't as bad as you think. Sometimes things that don't look good are a stepping stone to greatness. Because I was a High School drop out i went on to become a social worker, Teacher of ESL, A special Education Advocate and a college advisor. :) All the best to You on your journey. Whether this is for you or someone you love, I believe in you. (((Hugs)))

I have and adult high school diploma and 2 college classes. will the air force take me. asfab score?

The best thing to do is to talk to a recruiter...
I'm not sure whether or not an "adult diploma" would qualify you or if they would consider it a GED. If it is a GED then you also need 15 college credits.
The AirForce requires a minimum ASVAB (not asfab) score of 36 but your line scores will determine what MOS's (jobs) you are eligible for.
And since I'm guessing you read that "a high school drop out is more likely to get hit by lightning than join the airforce" on about.com I would suggest you consider the source and instead talk to a recruiter who actually knows that chances of you getting in.

How many college credits equal a high school diploma?

Unless it is a personal pursuit, a HS Diploma is redundant once you have passed your GED. A GED is intended for someone who did not finish HS and need an equivalent certification. If you are older than 22 then you may have a difficult time getting a HS diploma (I have not heard of a HS which accepts student beyond this age). A GED is intended as an equivalent to a HS diploma. What you want to do now is really get your Associates or Bachelor's (a HS diploma will be a thought of the past then). Look forward. Go Go GO!

If you must know for sure, ask your local HS since the High School requirements may vary in different locales.

Additional:
Your parents want to do the best they can for their son here. They want you to grow to become responsible for your decisions and be able to take care of yourself. They cannot always be there. If you are really in a financial deadlock, give them a counteroffer: How about mom and dad pay for college if I get a "B" (GPA 3.0) or better. Give them something to work with.
