Jello shots ?
Im guessing with a question like this your either young, or unexperienced, either way, jello shots are always a good time. An unflavored vodka will make your jello shots disgusting in my opinion. If you use something like Lemon Vodka by Smirnoff and lemon flavored jello you will find yourself enjoying it a lot more. A good rule of thumb is no dark alcohol should be used as a base for jello shots. As far as "How many to get drunk" it depends on a multitude of factors... size , weight, tolerance. If your a first time drinker..or new to the game. Im gonna say a standard jello shot is pretty much .75 - 1.00 equivalent of a normal 1oz shot. So...4-6, but again thats only a rough rough estimate. If you want to get drunk really fast... grab some salt, a lime, and a bottle of tequila :P

so i get drunk (not super drunk just drunk) off about 4-5 beers and we made jello shots we used 1 cup of vodka mix whit 1 cup of water and that made about 22 or so. so how many would it take me to get drunk i just dont want to eat alot then get too drunk because i know it takes a little bit of time to get drunk off them

it depends on how much vodka is in the jello shot. we used 1/2 vodka and 1/2 water so we could enjoy more shots... it also depends on how well you hold your liquor (how much you weight).

hmm.. I've never actually made them before either, but I thought that you add the full amount of boiling water, and then 1/2 alcohol and 1/2 cold water, so it's more like 2/3 water 1/3 alcohol... does this sound right?

You need to ask the person who made the jello shots how much alcohol is in them. Roughly speaking a jello recipe that calls for 2 cups of water becomes 1.5 cups of water and 0.5 cups of alcohol in it. But whenever I make them I put in 0.75 cups. If you get them in the bar I'd say they are watching their measurements and putting in 0.5 cups roughly thus 4 might equal a drink.

Impossible to estimate. How much alcohol was put in the mix? How much do you normally drink? For me about 8-9 as I make them, however I have a friend of the same build that can slam them like water and not be "drunk". Everybody's tolerance is different, and everyone makes their shots different.
