Is a 13-year-old a kid or a teenager?

As long as you have a parental figure, you’ll always be a child, in a manner of speaking. Age wise, you’d be a teenager once you turn 13, so yes, a 14 year old would be a teenager.Generally speaking.0–12 Pre-teen13–19 Teen/adult+20 AdultIn a manner of speaking, being an adult means being responsible, ‘mature’ and independent. There are plenty of adults of whom we may consider to be children in their mindset, i.e. immature and irresponsible.Children can act like adults as well, by being emotionally mature and acting and being wiser than what’s expected of their age. A lot of it has to do with life experience. Some adults don’t get enough of it by the time they’re legally an adult, and remains a child in mindset. Some children sadly don’t get to be children for very long by having too much life experience; i.e. having to deal with the hardships of life earlier than intended.

What are your kids names/future kids names?

1. ♂ Dorian Alexis Charles -
After Dorian Gray from the "Picture of Dorian Gray" by Oscar Wilde. Sure, the story was morbid and the character, corrupted by his vanity and youth, fell prey to a life of sexual escapades and brutal murders with a hint of homosexuality every here and there before inevitably dying a gruesome and well-deserved death after years of unnatural immortality but, hey! It was a good book with a strong character!

2. ♂ Seóirse Leo Fritz (shore-shuh) -
I’ve always loved the name George but it’s just too rough and brutish for me to be 100% comfortable with using it. Plus, there was a droopy-cheeked nose-picker in my class named George so that association is rather off-putting as well. However, Seóirse is a form of George and, since it’s Irish, it pays homage to my nationality and culture so adding it to my list is killing two birds with one stone, really.

3. Llewellyn Arthur Harold (lou-well-in) -
There's no particular reason why I like it other than the fact that it means "Like a Lion", which I find very attractive. Oh, and Llywelyn (the original spelling) was the last prince of Wales, which is pretty cool. Plus, I have quite a few Welsh cousins and have a weak relation to the Welsh so, it's sort of a tribute to the culture.

4. Féilim Hubert Gregory (fay-lim) -
Just a really nice Irish name that I happen to adore for no particular reason, although it helps that Féilim is scarce in my area, so it's a nice change in comparison to all the Eoins and Aidans around recently.

5. Gertrude Alice Victoria -
It's not a pretty name but the overall combination (excluding Alice) has a strong meaning; "Spear Maiden/Conqueror; Victory", and the name has a highly distinguished past as it has belonged to various saints and actually made an appearance in a Shakespearean play! Not to mention, it is legitimately unique - what with it being one of the most endangered names in all of Europe. It's got a lot of character and prestige to it and it's not like other girl names of today's society as, even if it is ugly by modern standards, it's still very dignified, proud, regal and sophisticated. It even has the added benefit of being one of the most ancient names in all of European history as it's known to stem back to before the 7th century B.C. And that's, honestly, the type of powerful appeal I want for a future daughter.

What age do toddlers able to say there own name

it depends on their development pace. i adopted my son at 6 months old and now hes two and still hasnt said a word. hes very outgoing in other things so hes fine other then a little verbal insegnificency.generally though, toddlers from 2-3 should know their names. but you cant expect them to learn it on their own, you have to teach it to them. like say "my names pamela, daddys name is this, whats your name?" and then say their name.or be talking to someone else in front of them saying this is my son, his name is....just make it clear. some kids talk later then others, but as soon as they learn to talk and answer questions, they should be able to say their name.

What ages go with each grade in America?

Well we begin school in August and finish in May. These are the ages they are.Kindergarten you have to be over 5 years old that means your usually 6 by the end of the grade. Thoe it varies depending on your birthday for example if your born in September you would turn 6 during the beginning of the year.1st grade age 6 at the end you are 72nd grade 7 at the end you are 83rd grade age 8 at the end you are 94th grade age 9 at the end you are 105th grade age 10 at the end you are 116th grade age 11 at the end you are 12. Also at the age 12 they graduate and move on to middle school7th grade age 12 at the end you are 13/ a teenager now8th grade age 13 at the end you are 14.At the age of 14 you graduate and move on to high school. However some have junior high school and have 9th grade in there. Thoe junior high is rare now. The difference is middle school has 7–8th while junior high has 7–9th.For junior high kids they don't graduate until age 15.High schooler are usually refer toFreshmen/9th Freshmen are 14 at the end they are 15Sophomore/10th Sophomore are 15 at the end they are 16Junior/11th junior are 16 at the end they are 17Senior/12th senior are 17 at the end they are 18/legal adult. At the age 18 they graduate high school.College also has a 4 year system as wellFreshmen age 18 at the end they are 19Sophomore age 19 at the end they are 20/officially no longer a teenager.Junior age 20 at the end they are 21/ they can now do the fun stuff like guns smoke drink or whatever but I don't recommend you do because it bad for your health and leads to cancer. Also guns are dangerous so I don't recommend you get one.Senior age 21 at the end they are 22. At the age of 22 they graduate college. And that it. So really education is age 5–22. That about 17 years of education.

Do you think it is okay for kids to greet adults by their first name?

I’m from Denmark, so my answer is based on our culture and nationality.I have never, ever, called someone our equivalent of Sir or Ma’am, except for when I served in the army. Not when I was a kid, and not now that I’m adult. Not my parents, an old person, a young person, or someone important.I’m occasionally addressed as ‘Sir’ in letters or by various young people who work in the service sector. It makes me feel unjustifiable old, and it sounds wrong to my ears, but I know they mean well with it.When I was around 13 years old and till I was past 20 years, people (including adults and my own family members) called me by my last name, because let’s face it - if you knew how cool my last name sound, you’d want to be called that too. But they did it because I identified by that name and everyone else called me Frøkjær too. So that was just how it was.-Naturally it wasn’t a sign of respect for my age as it started around when I was around 13, if I’m being perfectly honest it started because someone at school thought they could tease me with my last name - phonetically, it virtually translates into FrogCute so you can probably see the fun variations mean kids can get out of that. Instead I decided to just own it. And suddenly it became cool, and one bully had less ammunition in his arsenal when trying to pick on me.Back on topic. I would never ask someone, let alone a child, to call me by my last name as a sign of respect. Especially children can get away with calling me all sorts of names that I wouldn’t tolerate from adults. In short, I can’t recall a single instance from my childhood where I referred to an adult by anything else than their first name. So yes, it’s perfectly fine. It’s even the norm here - and I wouldn’t wish it any other way.

How many kids is too many in your opinion?

Any more than you can provide for- emotionally, financially, physically. For some people this might even mean one kid! For others, it will be 5 or 6.

BQ1: I have 2 boys, a 6 year old and an 11 month old.
BQ2: God, no. It's none of your business.

At what age should a child be writing their name and reciting their address?

As soon as physically possible.Since many of the other answers contain tips on how to teach these to your child, I’ll explain why this is necessary.A lost child needs to know how to get home. I still don’t know any street names and get around literally completely by memory. I generally only need to go somewhere once before I’ve memorized how to get there. So far, I’ve been incredibly lucky.Imagine now that I get kidnapped, or somehow lose my way. Yes, I know my address. But how do I give directions? I only have a mental image of all the streets in my area, no names or numbers to go by. Teach these things to your child. They are important.
