Higuain is joining the club midseason with 15 EPL games to go with the EFL Cup final and maximum 9 games left in the Europa League and FA Cup.Presuming he starts 20 odd games, he would be expected to find the back of the net on atleast 15 occasions since other players like Hazard, Pedro, Willian etc. will also score. This would take his goalscoring history into account.Overall if he gets 15+ goals in EPL, Europa League, FA Cup and Carabao Cup(some more goals will be expected against the so called minnows) will be considered a success.If we look at the three cup competitions, Europa League, FA Cup and EFL Cup, if Chelsea can win atleast one among the three and he scores in say the EFL Cup final and in 3–4 more important games, then it will be a success.But the main aspect that his signing addresses is freeing up the wide role for Hazard who is at his lethal best when he plays on the wings. Hazard is sometimes unplayable when he plays on the wings. The Higuain signing definitely addresses that issue and we will hopefully see a more deadly Hazard from now and till the end of the season.

Hassan - Madrid would win EPL as we are, and are rightfully acknowledged by most, as better than any EPL side. The realisty is that only Barca or Madrid can win the CL. If Torres had not scored that goal, the score would have been 2-1 Barcelona. The aggregate would have been 2-2. But Chelsea would have scored 1 away goal while Barcelona scored zero. Therefore, Chelsea would have still advanced. After Chelsea scored their 1st goal away, Barcelona then needed to win by 2 goals.
