Why do liberals think capitalism is a bad thing?
I have a small screen printing company. It's the way I and three employees make a living for our families. What's wrong with that? Why do they want to bring me down with MORE taxes, health insurance, MORE government control, and MORE red tape? They don't really want me (us) to succeed, do they? Help me figure this out. Not a republican and definitely not a democrat.

In the simplest of terms, it doesn't matter.Of course, it's much more complicated than just three words. Personally, I consider myself very liberal, but my opinions of my fellow leftists vary just as much as they do for those on the right.About a year ago I visited some family members in Alabama for about a week. They lived in a small town: probably than 10,000 people and only three gas stations. It was a very rural and very conservative. Specifically, they were evangelicals. Nearly everyone was Presbyterian and went to mass on Sundays. But how were they as people? In short, fantastic. The folks on my family's street were very welcoming. the family next door even came over the day after we arrived to formally introduce themselves. HOWEVER: my brother, who is also very liberal, ended up in a conversation with a middle aged woman that got political. In short, word spread as fast as it does in small towns, and I caught a few dirty looks from people in church that Sunday.My point is not that liberals are good with liberals or that conservatives are good with conservatives. That kind of opinion only fuels rhetoric that contributes to the polarization of society. What I take from my visit to Alabama is that these supposed ultra-conservatives did not care about where we were on the political spectrum - they treated us as human beings. It was only after we were recognized as liberals that some of them - and only some of them - began seeing us as bad people.To summarize my point, it's counter-intuitive to make your political stance a part of your interactions with people. If, however, you are the kind of leftist that is more than ready to announce it, best of luck making too many conservative friends. It may sound a little "kumbayah," and, ironically, liberal of me to say so, but in the grand scheme of things, we are all humans and will be treated as such if we do the same to others.

Because someone said they hated America, they hated freedom, and they hated Apple Pie. And your mother. They really hate your mother. That's why. Haven't you been listening to the propaganda?
Why do liberals think that guns are bad?
I believe in the principles of nonviolence. That, along with prudence, reasonable caution, and a little luck has given me a life that has never needed a gun. I will never own one.Many people do not share my views or values, including other Liberals. That's ok. But I feel like I see things much clearer than those who constantly defend owning weapons.A few insights:There are very few actual responsible gun owners out there. In fact, stories of the heartbreaking results of this irresponsibility are in news stories every day. This week especially, has been very bad for two year olds.Gun owners and their delusions of heroism are just about the most ridiculous lie people tell themselves. These bozos think they are some gun slinging cowboy that's going to rush in and save the day. That's some real batshit right there.Turning tightened regulations into a gun ban. If I had a nickel for every time I read this whopper, I'd be buying a mansion right now. Do we really want this low level of intelligence to be owning weapons?Guns as a talisman. Guns are not just another possession, but one that carries tremendous power. America has always had that crazy underbelly of superstition, but this takes it to a whole new level. Irrational fear and paranoia is standard for many here. The growing faith in guns as a safety device, and the more the better, is starting to make people resemble Invasion of the Body Snatchers.Which of course is the goal. Fear, fear, and more fear. I don't want to sound sexist, but men who think guns make them powerful are the most pathetic bunch of losers out there.What is bad is that people don't live in reality. They lie to themselves and build up myths around guns that become part of their identity. It doesn't matter how many children die. They simply don't care. They really do love their guns more than life itself.
Are Liberals bad or good?
I just each person individually, not lump them all together in a group. Many liberals are very good people, are generous, tolerant, hard workers, don't have a bad bone in their body. Others are insane. Same thing goes with conservatives, and all other kinds of peoples. My personal view is that the nutcases on each side sort of cancel each other out. On here though, you won't find nothing but about 90% trolls.
