How Many Of The Questionable 8 Million Signed Up For 0-care Because The Better Insurance Was Made

How do life insurance policies work? Please help!?

In a nutshell, life insurance works like this:
Someone purchases a life insurance policy for $30,000. They need to inform their beneficiary of the policy. Over $1,000,000 of life insurance goes unclaimed every year because beneficiaries didn't know it was there. So, the beneficiary needs to know about the coverage.
Say the person who bought the insurance dies. The beneficiary then has to wait until the death certificate is processed (usually 2-3 weeks) to make a claim. The beneficiary then makes a claim on the life insurance policy using the death certificate, and the company then pays them the amount. The money can be used for whatever the beneficiary wants to use it for. The whole process usually takes 3-6 weeks.
If there is any suspoicion about the person's death, the insurance company can withhold payment pending an investigation. If it's determined that the beneficiary had something to do with the person's death, the insurance would go to the secondary beneficiary.

What is the biggest problem with the U.S. health care system?

There are two big problems, one in the system, one out.

The biggest problem in the system is that it is geared to curing, not preventing disease. If more attention were placed on prevention, not nearly as much would be spent throughout the system in curing. And this is made worse by the fact that many insurance companies will not pay for prevention, only curing.

The second big problem is that insurance companies make their entire effort to prevent paying claims. There are hundreds of people working for them, and their job is to deny, not pay, claims. This makes doctors and hospitals charge more to cover the claims which are eventually denied despite their validity and the money lost on the time lag between filing and payment on those claims which are eventually paid.

How does our society assign value to human life?

You might want to rethink your paper. One of the reasons is that value is assigned to human life all of the time because we have to do it for our own good. It's less a matter of wanting to do it that in finding that it is necessary.

One example of assigning a value to human life can be demonstrated by looking at the President of the United States. Because of his position, his life, and that of those in the Chain of Command, are valued at a greater level than the man in the street. We have the CIA and othera who are assigned specifically to protect the life of each of these people. However, you don't have a bodyguard and neither do I. Why? It is because if either of us were to die, the country would not go into a panic and then mourning. The national security would not be at risk.

Anyhow, I think that you see what I mean. If there had to be a choice between somebody killing one of us or killing President Obama, which do you think would affect the country and the world, more.

I know that this is not what you asked for, but I think you might want to consider revising your paper.

Everyone says that we are all born equal, but as you can see, some people do have a greater value than others for one reason or another.

What were the most notable accomplishments made by Barack Obama during his presidency?

I give President Obama, and just about any other President, a difficult time because a lot of their decision making, makes little sense to me but I can speak highly of any President I'm versed on, and yes, the includes President Obama.President Obama has made achievements that transverse across a few areas including:1. The ACA, or the Affordable Healthcare Act, which basically expanded healthcare coverage via public and private initiatives and mandates.2. He managed, with a bit of assistance from his predecessor, to navigate the US out of a recession.3. In concert with other parties, he orchestrated the US to address the Ebola crisis in a responsible way.4. Via executive order, he has helped hundreds of thousands of "illegal immigrants" to not only stay here in the US, but by pushing the DREAM Act to let them get an affordable college education.5. Though its not his policy directly, he did withdraw US troops from Iraq. That's up for debate rather he did it or even if it was a gold thing to leave.6. He Presided over a period in which all Americans have the right to marry. While that's an action of the Supreme Court, I'll still score it as a victory for President Obama.7. He managed, in concert with our UN partners, to bring the earth together for true dialogue on climate change.8. The Iranian Nuclear Deal, need I say more?9. Once again, not a direct result of his policies, but under his reign the US has become the largest or second largest oil producer on earth. This is important because its been a message within American politics to always say "make the US energy independent" and well, we're definitely moving that direction rather one is pro oil or not.10. He restored US relations with Cuba, and will be the first President in nearly nine decades to visit Cuba next month.Admittedly so, this was a difficult list to come up with off the top of my head and the order of this list doesn't suggest the importance of the accomplishment.Best,Demetrius Hicks

Why on earth is lidocaine so expensive?

I imagine its not particullary difficult to make-- and I think its a relatively old drug.

It works for my chronic back pain (lidocaine patches)-- its a non-controversial drug-- so theoretically it should be easier to obtain than something more controversial like opioids etc.

For a pack of 30 it costs like almost 300 bucks!! why on earth are these things so deadly expensive?!

I have heard that the cream is expensive too-- Please tell me if this is correct--
any suggestions on what to use other than these--? Tylenol and other NSAIDS do not touch my pain. :(
