How Many Time Could A Doctor Say

How much time does it take to be a doctor in India?

its really a very long journey. Say MBBS is presently 5.5 years and then a years rural posting makes it 6.5 years. Technically but in reality it's 7 years. Then you need to start preparing for PG NEET. By the time you are at least 24 at the least even if you have entered MBBS at 17. So at the end of your Post graduation you are around 29- 30. Also these days where awareness is pretty high among masses regarding the various medical degrees and specialities a mere MDS or MS doesn't suffice. You need to arm yourself with a SUPERSPECIALITY! So here you are again with NEET- SS . That is entrance exams for supervisory courses like DM/ MCh. this is another 3 years. Hence down the line you are around 33 or 34 provided you are successfully cleared all the exams during the course. Or else for all practical purposes consider yourself at 35. CHEERS.

How many times can the Doctor regenerate?

I think the Doctor was getting irritated with Clyde for asking so many questions that when the number of regenerations came up, the Doctor just threw out a random number.

Twelve regenerations (13 bodies) is the current canon, but my theory right now is that when the Doctor has used up what would've been his final regeneration, he'll reveal that the High Council gave him a new cycle during the Time War so they could keep their Dalek expert around as long as they could.

Can a doctor tell when the last time you had sex was?

well i had a UTI about a week or two ago and its better now....and the doctor said that when i finish my medication to go to my regular family doctor....well my family doctor asked my mother if i was sexually active....i've been telling my mother no for obvious reasons!! and my mother said "well the doctor said she could find out when the last time you had sex was"

is this true? or is she just trying to scare me.

Doctors prescribe medicine using terms like 3 times a day. What does it actually mean?

Depending on the drug or where it is given can loosely or succinctly define what 3 times a day mean. In the hospital they have regular times for administration of a “3 times a day” order. Known as TID the t meaning triad, a drug is given at 9:00 am-1:00 pm and 9:00 pm. If the order is written for “"every 8 hours “ (24 hours divided by 3=8, thus meds given every 8 hours) generally 0800;1600; and midnight. At home, 3 times a day loosely means take the drug in divided doses during your waking hours with a reasonable period in between doses. This is so you don't have to get up in the middle of the night to take a pill.Nothing is simple in the world of medicine

Why do doctors say "you'll never walk again"?

actually that's not true. when a patient is told that, the doctors are usually right. we only hear about those few patients who defy the odds, so by your perception it seems common. however, the vast majority of patients who are told by their doctors that they won't be able to walk are in fact not walking.

Ok so im 14 years old and i have to have a pap smear can my doctor tell my mom i had sex and how many times?

Why are you having a pap smear at 14 years of age?

A doctor cannot tell for certain, from a physical exam if you have had sex. (If your hymen is tightly closed that would mean you are probably a virgin, but if it's torn/missing that DOESN'T mean you have had sex.) So the doctor won't know until/unless you tell HIM.

Sexual/reproductive health is in a very different catagory from other health issues, and the doctor is not allowed to tell your mother anything if you don't want him to. (As a minor your parents still control most of your health needs, but sex/reproduction are special.) So yes, DO tell the doctor if you are sexually active. It's important to be honest with your doctor. But he can't and won't tell your mother anything without your permission.

How do doctors know when someone is going to die?

No one can actually predict the exact time of death, except an astrologer; and this is how they do it.This 72 year old gentleman came with some mild chest pain. His son looked too perturbed compared to the degree of his fathers illness. We investigated and found nothing much and gave some analgesics. On the son’s insistance we admitted him. He wanted his father to be in the hospital for a week in a private room; and we complied. On discharge the son came and profusely thanked us for saving his father life. We were surprised and told him that this was just a trivial illness, to which he revealed that his fathers ‘horoscope’, written by a ‘never-failing’ astrologer had predicted that he would die on that very day of hospital admission. So the son was grateful to us for saving his father from imminent death but not angry with the astrologer for deceiving him and by writing bullshit. The family believed that the astrologer was right, respects him but accepts that medical intervention saved him.(Just imagine what would have happened if it was opposite, the astrologer predicting a long life and the patient dying while under our treatment; perfect recipe for doctor bashing!!That’s how it goes. But doctors predict time of death scientifically byDisease Nature - Comparing a patients condition with published data. For example, on an average a stage 4 pancreatic cancer patient survives for 3 and a half months. In contrast some kind of cancers like ‘Hodgkins disease’ are fully curable with 5 year survival exceeding 95%. This kind of data is generated over years of study with hundreds of patients. We interpolate this data to a given patient, which may be wrong in many cases.Clinical Signs of imminent death like gasping breathing, feeble pulse, low blood pressure, low oxygen content of blood (measured by a pulse oximeter), altered sensorium, delirium etc indicates bad outcome in a short time.Mental state – patients suffering from chronic disease like a widespread cancer or chronic Heart failure often suddenly ‘give up’. They tell us ‘doctor I don’t think I will recover this time.’ Such negative predicament and feeling of doom is often correct. Most modern day doctors don't predict time of death unless a family member specifically wants to know the data. We, instead tell them about probability of ‘event free’ survival.
