How Many Times A Day Do I Use Foradil

What is the best time to use a skin toner?

Post Facewash. After using facewash the pores of our skin opens up consequently dirt settles in it.A skin toner reduces the pores eliminating dirt from settling deep into the pores. So one should always tone their skin after using facewash followed by a moisturiser and sunscreen.

What are some of the best ways to fight asthma and improve it?

See a competent doc - usually a pulmonologist, some allergist and well trained internists are quite good at this too - and have it treated, and follow the doc’s recommendations. If you’re allergic, avoid ANY contact with inhalational allergens (horses, kittens, dogs), if it can’t be avoided, take antihistaminics or Montelukast (Symbicort®) 10mg daily. If needed, see a doc- usually an allergist - to be tested for allergies.Depending on how serious your asthma is, this is the how it is to be treated, starting with the least serious, only slightly wheezing not and again, to very serious, being totally dependent on meds so not to be wheezy and short of breath:-occasionally wheeze: take short acting relief inhalers e.g. salbutamol=albuterol (e.g. Ventolin®) inhaler as needed. If you need more than a few puffs of relieve inhalers a week, you need to be on daily antiinflammatory inhalational corticosteroid (e.g. budesonide, fluticasone) inhalation, usually in one inhaler combined with a LABA = long acting beta adrenergic agent (e.g. formoterol, salmeterol), the popular combinations are e.g. Symbicort (budesonide + formoterol, also suitable for relief inhalation)andor Seretide (fluticasone + salmeterol, unsuitable for relief inhalation!)you need to inhale twice daily, beside inhaling the relief short acting salbutamol inhaler as needed. If you have an attack, inhaling more inhalation corticosteroid have been proven to be of no use. to continue using your usual dose, and add 40mg prednisone (very popular, the prodrug which will be metabolized into the real drug rednisolone) or prednisolone (the active ingredient) by mouth a day for 7 to 10 days. Don’t wait to long, people have choked to death because they were afraid to take this very high dose of oral prednisone/prednisolone.See alsog-Hai Sie's answer to How do you treat asthma? andLiang-Hai Sie's answer to Is there a better medication than Salbutamol for asthma patients?

Is Spiriva a corticosteroid?

Spiriva is not a steroid. It is from a drug class known as parasympatholytics. These are moderately strong bronchodilators that act on the smooth muscle in your airways to relax them. Spiriva is taken once a day, usually in the morning. It should NEVER be used as a rescue medication.

Spiriva is for people who have COPD or sometimes asthma who need more than Albuterol/Salbutamol or a long-acting bronchodilator from the same class as Albuterol/Salbutamol can do. It compliments your rescue inhaler and the Serevent in Advair or Foradil in Symbicort. Spiriva should be used in combination with an inhaled steroid because the person taking it must be having some serious trouble breathing for it to be prescribed. If your asthma or COPD is normally bad without medication, an inhaled steroid with rescue inhaler would be the first choices for treatment. Spiriva compliments them to help ease shortness of breath further and all day long.

Spiriva is going to be used a lot more now because Combivent was recently taken off the market. Combivent was a short-acting combination of Albuterol/Salbutamol and Atrovent. Atrovent lasts for 4 to 6 hours and does the same thing as Spiriva. Spiriva last for 24 hours. So, if you were on Combivent, you might be put on a Albuterol/Salbutamol rescue inhaler with either an Atrovent rescue inhaler or daily Spiriva.

In my experience, Spiriva isn't very strong. I find that my Albuterol/Salbutamol rescue inhaler does more, but that Spiriva can make it much easier for me to climb stairs in combination with Advair (inhaled steroid and long-acting bronchodilator). Instead of doing the heavy lifting like Albuterol/Salbutamol does, it takes the edge off.

Symbicort or Advair? For asthma.?

They both work the same. Although Sybicort claims to have a faster onset.

They Both contain a Long acting bronchodilator beta agonist that lasts for up to 12 hours to treat bronchial smooth muscle constriction.

They also both contain a corticosteroid to treat airway inflammation.

Advair = salmeterol (serevent) and Fluticasone (Flovent)
Comes in strengths of 500/50, 250/50, 100/50

Symbicort = formoterol (Foradil) and Budesenide (Pulmicort)
Comes in strengths of 80/4.5, 160/4.5

They are both prescribed the same, One inhalation twice a day 12 hours apart.
