How Many Times Do You Put On Castor Oil Morning Or Before You Go To Bed. Or You Supposed To Do

How long after taking Castor oil does it take to have contractions and poop?

Thanks for asking this, I've been wanting to share my experience. The bottle says it will produce a bowel movement within 6-12 hours, with me it was about 2 hours (I took the full 4tablespoon dose, then 4 more 2 hours later). Once you stop having the poops (to put it nicely), then the contractions should start. This could be up to 48 hours after taking it. Castor oil is just a laxative that causes the bowels to contract which in turn MAY cause the uterus to contract as well. I tried the castor oil on Sunday night at about 8:00, I put 4 tablespoons in about 4 oz. of orange juice (if you can stand pulpy OJ, I recommend it, it takes away from the nasty oily texture of the castor oil) I started with a looser bowel movement around 10, then diarrhea started shortly after that, sorry if TMI! Unfortunately the castor oil didn't work for me, I stopped pooping at about 11 the next night although it was never too terrible that I needed to be on the toilet all night, thank goodness! The contractions never came for me *sigh* but at least I got cleaned out! The cramps hurt but not anymore than normal gas cramps for me anyway. Oh, one tip I have.... Baby wipes! Trust me, they feel a lot better on your behind then toilet paper will with the diarrhea! And be sure to be constantly drinking water as you can become very easily dehydrated during the potty process! Good luck and hopefully it works well for you!

How many doeses of castor oil did you have to take before it started working and how long did it take to work?

I did it and worked like a charm. I first tried it at 38wks, but it didn't work, I guess b/c my wasn't just wasn't ready. Then I tried it again the following week (39wks) and it put me in labor within 6hrs. I drank 2oz of the oil in a large glass of orange uice. Stir well and shug it. I drank it at 8pm, then went to the bathroom about 3 times, wich was not that bad. I went to bed at about 12am and was woken up by contractions at 4am.
You're gonna hear lots of bad, ignorant commets about Castor Oil. I can tell you that in my case I had a complication free home birth induced by th oil. My amniotic fluid had no meconium whatsoever. My first baby was a hospital induction, which ended up with lots of complications and lots of meconium. Do they tell you about these risks on all tose sites about how wonderful hospital inductions are??? Of corse not... A bottle of Castol Oil will cost you only $4 while if you let those morons induce you at the hospital, they'll be putting $$$$$ in their pockets.
Don't listen to people. They're brain washed by the biggest money making industry, the medical field.
Good luck!

Did stripping your membranes and using castor oil prove to be effective in starting labor in you?

I am 40 weeks pregnant and past my EDD. Today the doctor stripped my membranes to try to speed the process along. She also told me to take 1 TBSP of castor oil before I go to bed in 8 oz. of warm orange juice...and that the contractions should begin within 24 hours. She also told me that the only reason she believed the castor oil would work is because I have been dilated to 2cm and 70-80% effaced for 3 weeks now. Apparently the castor oil is most effective in people who are already dilated.

My question is: were either of these methods effective in starting labor for you, and has anyone had both of these procedures done at the same time, and was it effective?

Thanks for your feedback :)

381/2 weeks pregnant and used castor oil?

I am just wondering if anyone else there has ever used castor oil to try and induce labour? I used it the other night it tasted awful but it didn't give me bad cramps like people say it would. I had 2 bm and after that I started having contractions. They were every 4 minutes and I had them for 4 hours. So it kind of did something. I am wondering if I should try again and if it ever worked for anyone out there?

Can castor oil be applied to hair daily?

Castor oil is becoming a popular remedy for hair loss and a helpful ingredient for hair regrowth. On an average, your hair grows by about half an inch every month. With the regular use of castor oil, hair growth can be boosted by three to five times the usual rate. It not only spurs hair growth, but the hair also becomes noticeably thicker within a few months of use. Castor oil also can make your eyelashes and eyebrows longer and thicker.Use of Castor Oil :The Scientific Reason :Castor oil’s antiviral, antibacterial, and antifungal properties make it an effective treatment for scalp infections. Its high protein content makes it very valuable to maintain hair health. It also helps battle infections such as folliculitis, a condition that causes inflammation of the hair follicles. The unusually high content of ricinoleic acid in castor oil improves blood circulation at the scalp, ensuring better nutrition for the hair follicles.(for more click here)

How long can you keep castor oil in your hair?

Castor Oil is used for many things but it is a great product for your hair along with many other natural oils. The Castor oil is a product that restores and maintains the moisture in your hair. If your hair is shedding, you may be applying too much due to the consistency of the product and the texture of your hair. You should try to warm a small amount in the microwave (2 teaspoons) and add it to your favorite conditioner, apply it to your hair, apply a plastic cap and wait 25 to 30 minutes before rinsing out. I like to apply it on a Friday night with the plastic cap and tie it down with a scarf. (You can get some cute scarves from Sally’s Beauty Supply if you don’t want to look crazy going to bed. My husband appreciates it) On Saturday morning I rinse and apply a leave in conditioner and seal it with jojoba oil. It will take a couple applications to notice a difference. However, once you restore the moisture, continue the process to maintain it. It is so important to maintain your length by moisturizing your ends and also lubricating your scalp for more growth. I hope that this helps you. To give proof, I live out west and it is very dry and my hair is very coarse. By using many natural oils on my hair, my hair is very healthy and growing stronger every day. Your hair is like the skin on your body, it needs moisture. Treat it as such and you will see great results. Good Luck and I hope that this helps. Stay Beautiful!!
