How Many Times Should You Wash Your Hair In A Week

How many times a week should i WASH MY HAIR?

Some people are idiots.
I swear.
What your doing is fine, as long as your hair isnt getting fried from the blow dryer, which if it takes less than 5 minutes then it wont hurt anything.
Also, the number of times depends on your hair type.
If its dry, your only supposed to wash it twice a week, although most people dont know that.
If its oily, then 4-7 times a week.
From what youve said, your hair sounds oily.
So I would say wash it every other day, and continue to do what your doing.
Also try the babypowder trick on your hair to help with the oily-ness and use less conditioner but DO NOT stop conditioning.
Hope that helps!

How many times a week should you wash your hair?

it really depends on how thick or thin your hair is. if your hair is thick you dont need to wash it so much coz it needs more natural oils in it to keep it from drying out but if you have thin hair it would probably get greasy easier and quicker so when your hair starts to feel gross wash it. my hair is very thick and curly and i wash it every 3 days.

How many times a week should you wash your hair?

Depends on what kind of hair you have ! Thin hair tends to get greasier faster, everyday is good. Medium to thick hair, I'd say every other day to every three days! See, you want to let the natural oils in your hair build up a bit so you're not stripping your hair with shampoo and conditioner all the time. The longer you go without washing your hair, the shiner and healthier it will be once you wash it. It needs natural oils to remain healthy.

How many times you should wash your hair in a week?

Sorry, but most of the answers are not from qualified people in the hair industry. A lisenced hairstylist will tell you that you should only be washing your hair maximum of 1–2x a week. Shampoo is for the scalp and conditioner is for the hair, first rule of correct cleansing of the hair. The length of your hair has nothing to do with how often you wash it. Washing more often does not stop hair from falling out.Washing to often, will remove the natural oils needed to keep scalp and hair healthy. If you use a lot of product, you can rinse your hair. You can also condition your hair more often, without using shampoo, that has detergent that changes the ph balance of your hair.If you shower daily, rinse your hair without touching the scalp. After rinsing, use conditioner on the shaft of hair only. Making sure you are coating the ends. This will freshen your hair and remove most products. Try to avoid the scalp with conditioner because you may end up with flat, heavy hair by not rinsing properly.

How to wash your hair only once per week?

The writing below is an excerpt from my favorite book of all time, "The Beauty Book". By Helen Foster. If you take the time to read it, you'll learn a lot.

Curly hair is nearly always dry hair - this, combined with the fact that light reflects better from straight surfaces than from curved ones, means that girls with curls often long for the sleek, shiny hair that they feel they will never have.

Curls also have a tendency to tangle and this can result in breaking and splitting As your hair is already quite fragile, a considerable amount of TLC is crucial if you want to keep this type of hair ni the best condition possible.

All of this, however, pales in comparison with the ultimate trauma for curly-haired girls - the dreaded frizz. All it needs is for a tiny bit of moisture in the air for your sleek curls to turn into tangled webs. But you don't need to suffer in silence.

Now this may shock you. If yo have curly hair, never, ever, ever wash it every day. It tends to dehydrate the hair and make it more frizzy and unmanageable. Instead, let your hair pick up some of the natural oils to help keep it calm and under control. If you must wash it to feel clean, skip shampoo and just rinse with water, then apply conditioner. When you wash, technique is crucial - use moisturizing shampoos and leave-in conditioners to add hydrating ingredients.

For best results, comb trhough with a wide-toothed comb (the only way you should ever comb curly hair). Twice a month, use an intensive conditioner or hot oil treatment. (If you're intrested, you can click on my profile and e-mail me. I can give you a recipe for your own home made hot oil treatment.)

When drying, don't rub your hair with the towel. Instead, squeeze the excess water into the towel. Apply an anti-frizz styling cream or serum to the hair while it's still wet and leave it to dry naturally, or at least use a dryer with a diffuser and only use moderate heat. And never tip your head upside down - you're just asking for frizz.

Good luck and I hope I was able to help!! :)

How many times a week should I wash my hair so it's not greasy?

3–4 times a monthWorking out and sweating daily can lead to a build up of excess oil on your scalp, which can cause skin problems . So if you sweat every day, it’s a good idea to give your hair a good daily wash to keep your scalp healthy.Daily shampooing removes oils that are healthy, to some degree, but a too-oily scalp can nourish fungus that causes seborrhea, a condition that leaves the scalp itchy and scaly. If your scalp is naturally oily or you work out daily, washing once a day may be right for you. Here are different theories surrounding how many times men should shampoo their hair. While some say that it should only be once a week, others recommend thrice a week. But the ideal way of deciding how many times you need to shampoo your hair in a week is to see the requirement according to your hair type. While men with short hair can easily do with shampooing twice a week, those who have longer mane should go for three times a week simply because longer hair requires more moisturizing and care. If your hair is dry and puffy, then you might want to keep them properly conditioned with regular shampooing and conditioning three times a week.If you are more exposed to dust and pollution with an outdoor job, then washing them on a more regular basis is the best bet to keep your healthy.
