How Many Years Will It Take 140000 .

How long will a 2005 Subaru impreza WRX with 140000 miles last?

If it was taken care of in the past, and you take care of it, there is no reason why it cannot go another 140,000 miles or longer. The folks who said differently obviously do not know Subarus.

I've owned Subarus since the 70s and have had several going strong when I sold them at over 300,000 miles. There's one I sold to a friend and it is running like a top with over 400,000 miles on it.

How long would it take to travel 11 light years?

It depends on your speed. If you could travel at the speed of light, it would take you 11 years. Actually, more than 11 years, because you would need some time to accelerate to that speed, and then again some time to slow down from that speed. If you could travel at half the speed of light, it would take you a bit more than 22 years to cover the same distance. But, keep in mind that such speed is not really attainable with current technology. If you could travel at 10% of the speed of light (still unattainable), it would take you more than 110 years. The phrase “more than” refers to the required acceleration and deceleration time. With current technology, it would take us well over 1,000 years to cover a distance of 11 light years. The important thing to remember is that a light year is not a measure of time. It’s a measure of distance. It is the distance that light travels in a year.

How long does it take to reach 170000 light years away?

Depends on how fast you go!You can’t travel at the speed of light, but let’s assume you can go ‘nearly’ at light speed - lets say 0.9999999999c. Someone watching you will see you take 170,000 years to make the trip - the tiny amount slower than light will not make any noticeable distance.BUT, you will make the trip in about 2.4 years of your time, as you would measure on your shipboard clock. This is because of Lorentz length contraction due to your speed. You think the journey is only 2.4 light years in length.Length contraction - WikipediaIn fact, if you travel even faster, you can complete the journey in only a few seconds by your shipboard clock, while still being seen by someone else as taking the full 170,000 years. This actually happens with some high energy cosmic rays crossing the milky way galaxy at almost light speed. They cross the galaxy in maybe 30 seconds of ‘their time’, even though to us, they take 100,000 years to traverse 100,000 light years. But if you go at, say, the speed of the Voyager spacecraft (currently about 17 km per second), the journey will take you around 3 billion years.

Is 140,000 miles a lot for a car?

I'm looking into buying a used Volkswagen Passat. I've found a 2006 Passat that is in my price range, but it has 140,000 miles on it. I want to be able to drive this car for another 5, 6, 7 years. I will be using it mostly for highway driving to and from school, but some in town driving for errands, etc. Is 140k a lot for a 2006 Passat? How many more miles should I expect to get out of it before anything major or expensive has to be fixed? Any advice is appreciated.

I'm 20 and I inherited $140,000. How can I earn off it without spending any of it? (Interest rates perhaps?)

I am assuming earn => stream of income rather than just general profit.Interest income is probably the poorest option, albeit safest.  It is poor both because of the low rates of return likely and because it is taxed like general income (of course this is dependent on your tax regime - I'm talking about mine).Dividend income is taxed more favorably and you can likely outperform all interest sources other than junk bonds (that pay high interest for a reason  - loss potential).  At $140K, it would be difficult/expensive to make your own diversified portfolio so a dividend ETF or low fee dividend mutual fund would work. These are not the only option, just an option.BTW - you have paid off all your personal debt haven't you?  This usually produces an absolutely risk free after tax return that is very hard to beat any other way.

How can a Senator spend 30+ years on politics making $140000 a year and have a personal net worth of $158 Million?

Without knowing who your talking about nobody can say. The following is intended to add to existing answers.Until 2012, insider trading was legal if you were a member of Congress. Knowing ahead of time what the government will buy and what regulations will be passed allowed for much money to be made without risk. Many senators and representatives write autobiographies, or have them ghostwrited. This is a perfectly legitimate way to earn extra income.Spouses of Congress members are placed into well paying jobs within industries that seek access to political power.

Would you rather make 10000 U.S dollars a month o 140000 pesos a month?

Actually, the $140,000 pesos will go farther in Mexico than $10,000 in the US.

The peso is not as stable, but the way things are going now, if the $140,000 per month is guaranteed, it will go farther in the future because the peso is getting stronger.

How long will a 2002 Chevrolet Cavalier w/ 140,000 miles but in good condition last me?

There is no idea for us to know its maintenance history based on that info and cars don't have a magic mileage where they blow up. It will last until you get tired of repairing it.
