Dubai worst drivers..................?

Leave a comment after reading this:

Dubai’s worst driver

The worst driver in Dubai clocked up a staggering 187 black points in just ten months, 7DAYS can reveal.
The man - who drove a sewage truck - is one of ten who make up a hall of shame on the emirate’s roads.
Between them, the drivers - who were all behind the wheel of HGVs - amassed 1,433 points since the new traffic laws were brought in last March. Together the men were responsible for 323 traffic offences.
When a driver’s points clock up to 24 his licence is supposed to be revoked, but these drivers ignored the mounting offences and just carried on driving.
All ten of them are Pakistani (!!!), and the situation has led a senior traffic police officer to call for the licensing of foreign drivers to be tightened up.
Colonel Saif Muhair Al-Mazroui, deputy director of Dubai Traffic Police, told 7DAYS: “There is a problem with issuing some people a driving licence because they don’t know the traffic laws in this country, even though they have the right documents.
“The RTA tries to educate drivers, especially the Asian ones, because they have poor driving skills in their own countries.”
He said some of the ten drivers have already been deported, while the others had either returned to their home countries or were on the run.
The second worst driver had amassed 168 points, while the third had 158. The lowest number of points of all ten drivers was 123.
Al-Mazroui said: “The drivers were placed on a black list by the traffic department and all their licences were cancelled. Many of them were driving sewage trucks and ignored the fines.
“They drive fast to deliver the sewage and get caught speeding, driving on the hard shoulder or jumping red lights.”
He added: “Companies pay drivers by the number of runs, not by the hour. This encourages them to speed and commit traffic offences to boost their wages.”
The police also said that 1,640 driving licences have now been cancelled because the drivers collected more than 24 black points.
No-one was available to comment at the Road and Transport Authority, but a spokesman said the RTA regularly runs campaigns to educate drivers.
He said: “We know that Dubai has many nationalities and driving standards vary from one to another. We have run awareness campaigns to reduce violations.”

How long is driving from dubai to egypt?

You need to fly. I lived 2 years in Dubai and I live in Egypt now and have for 3 years. You do NOT want to drive. You do NOT want to drive through Saudi. Period.

Its an easy trip to fly over, right into Cairo and go to the pyramids. I would stay here at least 3 nights and 2 days to go to the Spinx and the Museum and maybe see a few souks or other stuff.

If you want to go to Luxor or Aswan you will need alot more time and money.

Anyways, have fun, be safe and be cautious and smart. Be sure you understand the currency exchange and the value of things or you will lose alot of money shopping and in taxi fares here. Also, dress modestly, with slacks or long skirt and tops that aren't revealing. You will be approached and stared at anyway, but dressing modestly is my recommendation for this Islamic country. Almost anything goes in Dubai, but not true here. You will be more comfortable if you dress to blend in here. As you will see, Over 95% of the women cover here with hegab and many with hebeya or niqab (full veiling).

Have fun in your adventures!

Egypt is a wonderful country with generous and kind people.

Do taxis in Dubai take credit cards?

Yes all Dubai Taxis are accepting cash and credit cards. I traveled and tried many times.Taxi travelers in the emirate of Dubai can now pay the fare for their trip by debit, credit or Nol card, according to an announcement made by the Road and Transport Authority (RTA) on Feb 2014.The move was mainly intended to benefit tourists who often arrive in Dubai without any cash in hand or with little knowledge about the local currency. From mid-2015, all 87,000 taxis in Dubai have the new payment options available. While payment by credit/debit card adds an extra charge of Dh2 to the fare, payment by Nol card will add Dh1.They are accepting Visa, Mastercard, JCB, China Union Pay, and Diners.By mid 2017 All Dubai Taxis will accept Mobile Smart Payment. If you are visiting Dubai check below Dubai Deals and Dubai Classifieds website to get cheap prices.Dubai ClassifiedsDubizzle | OLXhttp://locanto.aeUAE and Dubai Business Directory, Classifieds, Events, Deals and Travel Guide by Dzooom.comUAE Classifieds for Buy, Sale or Find Property, Cars & JobsHope you have your best answer now.Welcome to Dubai and Enjoy your time.

A limousine driver could take home a salary of approximately AED 3000 to 4000/- per month depending upon company. He/she may also get reasonable tips from the costumer. You may also get a bachelor status accommodation from the company which may not be very great, and if you opt for living on your own then you need to shell out around around AED 1500/- pm for sharing accommodation. With this salary and expenses you may not save a good savings. All the best, and hope this answer helps you

Why in India do women not work as taxi drivers, ticket collectors, panipuri, and so on?

This question points out at the perception of the society, phyche of the people and in what kind of world we are living where there is a huge difference between the way a boy is allowed to live and a girl is supposed to live, Not only in India but also outside India. They categorise what kind of work women should do and what kind of work boys are supposed to do..society has allotted women their share of work that is to work similar to nurse, doctor, teachers ,housemaker, caretaker etc.As In India we see patriarchal form of family where a male is generally the head of the family and takes all important decision women may be involved in decision making or may not be, generally society sees only the male as bread earner and perceives women as soft and gentle in nature caretaker of the family ..so according to the society her main priority should be taking care of her children, husband, and everyone in the house and remain within the four walls as much as possible. And India is still not so developed where women is seen on equal parameter with men,and work as taxi driver, ticket collectors and pani Puri. Though in South India we find girls working as ticket collectors etc. Still for under developed society it is not digestable women doing the same work as men are doing. And when a strong women goes against the norms of the society and lives her life the way she wants it's not easy, she faces criticizm and hostilities at first. But we need such women and men who could bring positive reforms in the mindset of the people by their bold action. Then only we will find in India women as taxi drivers and ticket collectors and so on.
