How Much Clothes Do You Have

How many clothes should you own?

They say a girl can never have too many clothes, but while this is true, it is not necessarily advantageous for assembling a stylish or even just a presentable ensemble. Your wardrobe might look enviable from another woman’s standpoint seeing as it is packed with clothes of almost every style and brand—whether they are retail or, wholesale clothing bought. But this is not necessarily a good thing.Try to check this article and read more. Reasons You Have Too Many Clothes but Barely Anything to WearThere may be a lot of factors contributing to this fashion dilemma, and the reasons may range from hoarding too many of the same styles of clothes to purely just loving clothes shopping for the heck of it. This article explores the various explanations as to why you may have a lot of clothes yet none to wear.

Do you own too many clothes?

It’s not that I have too much clothing, it’s more like I suck at the organization of the space I do have to utilize. My walk in closet (and home) was built by a very tall man in the 50’s. I have a ton of space I can’t even reach so why would I place items I need so high up when I leave for work at the very last possible moment. My hubby is 6’1” and has trouble reaching for his stuff on the highest shelves on both sides. The irony that the shelf runs the entire length of the closet is not lost upon me.If that sucker were cleared off and I had a tall ladder my kid and I could sleep up there single file.Every year my summer clothes go up into the attic and my winter clothes replace them in the attic. However, global warming is jacking me up at the moment because we have a 40+ degree temperature disrepancy from daytime to nighttime temps, some weeks it’s a 50 degree difference. How in the hell can any sane woman manage to have access to both summer and winter clothing with limited space?I have business attire and yoga & pilates teacher attire. When I purchase things, I buy the best quality I can afford and take good care of my stuff.Lululemon now charges $118 for a single pair of leggings. They do last for more than a decade, but start to pill after year 3 even with hand washing them.I do go through my things twice a year and donate the stuff I no longer wear.I just now realized that the hubby has the same amount of space (more with the closet shelves!) and far less clothing than I do as he doesn’t have to dress for 3 professions. Dammit. Thanks for the A2A Ann Armstrong.

How much clothes do you have?

Two pairs of jeans, but I need to buy them specially because I have abnormally long legs so they are expensive. -_-
One pair of shorts.
One pair of capris.
Err, tons of shirts. A wonderful thing you can do is layering. Buy lots of tank tops, lots of t-shirts, and lots of cardigans. By layering them differently, you can have like ten things and not really appear to be wearing the same thing again for like a month.
I've got a pair of Converse, Uggs, two pairs of flats, and a pair of sandals.
Four sun dresses.
Two skirts.

I don't buy a new wardrobe every year or season or anything like some people do. I don't throw stuff away unless it wears out or doesn't fit anymore. I have been building this up over the past four years. xD

Which of the following is grammatically correct? 1. How much clothes did you wash? 2. How many clothes did you wash?

It’s “how many clothes” but “how much clothing”.“Many” takes a plural form; “clothes” is a plural form for which the old English singular form “cloth”, in the sense of a garment, has not survived.* Since that singular form no longer exists, a phrase such as “an item of clothing” or “an article of clothing” must be used to express the singular or specific pluralities thereof (“three articles of clothing”). “Much” takes a so-called mass (or non-count) noun which isn’t pluralizable without change in sense.Count and Non-Count Nouns______________________.* Although it does occur in the idiom “man of the cloth”, where it is used as a metonym; namely, the priest’s robes symbolizing the priesthood.

Is it “you’re wearing too much clothes” or “you’re wearing too many clothes”?

I believe “You’re wearing too many clothes” is correct. I would understand the sentence “you’re wearing too much clothes” but it will sound odd to most native English speakers. As I think about it, when the word “much” modifies the noun that follows it, the noun is usually singular although, it may describe a category of things. For example, “You have consumed too much water.” “You have spent too much money.” The water example may be more difficult to see, but one could pour the water into two or more cups, so, then is the water singular or plural? The money example is easier to see because it too, can be divided into its different denominations but you still call it money, not monies. You wouldn’t say, “I see you have made several piles on you bed with all of your monies. When the noun that follows is plural, “many” is correct. For example, “There are many lakes in Canada.” “There are too many people in this elevator.” Hope that clarifies rather than confuses.

How many clothes do you need for college?

Enough for you to be able to rotate clothes. As others have already pointed out, have clothes that you can wear for presentations, for dinner dates, for when you have to do internships and for when the season changes.I cannot give you numbers since I don’t know how often you’d want to wear your items before you launder them, but generally, I would say go for a mix of t-shirts, long sleeved button down shirts, polo shirts, chinos, jeans, sweaters, and jackets. You don’t really need a lot.If you want to make your life simple, get a trademark look. You can do all black, black shirt, black jeans, black pants or white and black. I’ve even known of people, guys, who only had 3 pairs of jeans that they rotated for 2 years.Like I said in my other answer to a somewhat similar question, you’ll be busy studying and spending your money on books and other college-related expenses that you probably won’t even have time to focus or spend your money on clothing.
