How Much Do I Send Someone In Nigeria Prison For Food

How Do I Send Mail to Nigeria ?

First, make sure you affix the correct postage. For a letter weighing less than 8 ounces the postage is 90 cents per ounce or partial ounce.

Second, make sure it is addressed properly. Verify the address with your recipient to make sure it's correct. The USPS recommends that you write addresses in all uppercase letters. If possible, addresses should have no more than five lines. Addresses must be written in ink or typewritten.

The last line of the address block area must include only the complete country name (no abbreviations) written in uppercase letters.

After spending way too much time trying to figure out Nigerian addresses, I think I've got it narrowed down to the following 2 possible forms. You should try to verify with your fiance.

[RECIPIENT'S NAME]
49, AJAYI ROAD, OKE-IRA OGBA
IKEJA, LAGOS
NIGERIA

or

[RECIPIENT'S NAME]

Another variation is that "OKE-IRA" might need to be "OFF OKE-IRA."

I would ask yourself this: if you had commited the same crime would he send you money and have your back?We all make mistakes. Most are meant to be forgiven. Some are so heinous they are not.I sent money to a guy friend who was at once my bestie. He went to prison for drugs. We were not close when he got caught (because I was not into drugs). His family had no money and I knew he was a good person inside. I knew he would do the same for me if the shoe was on the other foot. He is out and clean now.As a parent I'm sure that's a hard choice. One that only you can make. Best wishes.

Call the institution where your friend is being housed. There is nothing universal when it comes to corrections.

You can send it online or in person.Send Money to an Inmate MoneyGram offers a similar service.JPay | Send Money

How much it would cost to bring someone from ghana to the US?

"Bring to the U.S." is just too general. do you want the person to visit as a tourist, or are you talking about the person immigrating permanently, or about him coming on a temporary work visa? There is NOTHING you can do. If this person wants to visit as a tourist, he must apply for a B-2 tourist visa...he must begin the process with the 1st site below. If he gets the visa, then you can check on flight prices. If he wants a temporary work visa, he must be highly educated and skilled in a valuable job, and must find an employer BEFORE coming to the U.S. to sponsor his visa....nearly impossible unless he is super special. If he wants to immigrate...nearly impossible. He must have an immediate family member in the U.S. to sponsor him, or he must apply through the diversity Lottery program...gives a very slight chance and takes years. See 2nd site and 3rd sites. If this is an internet acquaintance, do NOT send money. sometimes people ask you to send money for "visa fees." If he cannot pay his own visa fees, he certainly cannot afford to come to the u.S. This could be a scam. You could offer the info below, and the rest is up to him.

How much does it cost to send a letter from Lago's Nigeria by overnight ups?

That depends on the weight. Just take it to the post office and let them weigh it.

But... again... the question is why are you sending a letter to Nigeria over night from Michigan?

If it is because you have a deadline by which your money order for some business deal needs to be in Nigeria... you are being scammed and will never see your money again.

Google 419 Letter scam and Nigeria and see what comes up.

Go to the post office.Ask for a PO.Address it to the governor of the prison. Amount etc. “The Governor, HMP ………” (that’s if you’re in the U.K.? Could be different in the US)On the back, put the inmates name, and prison number. That’s most important, otherwise you’re just giving money away, because it can only be addressed to the governor.

It probably varies between countries, but in the UK you can post letters and parcels to a serving prisoner by addressing it in their name and if you know it, their NOMIS number (prison number - no, they don’t have it stamped across the front of their shirts) and the postal address of the prison they are held in.You can Google the prison for it’s address and contact details and telephone them for more specific information. Anything incoming is scanned, checked for contraband and potentially opened if the prisoner is under a regime that permits that (intelligence has deemed it appropriate to intercept communication). There is also a scheme to email a prisoner, I don’t know too much about this but you and the prisoner can register for the service and they can receive incoming messages that are again screened, probably can’t allow attachments or embedded images. I am unsure if they can email out as well, I think so subject to screening of course. The obvious warnings apply, it is a serious arrestable offence to send anything illegal or banned to a serving prisoner (check the prison service website for a list of things they won’t allow) and that includes information that can be used in crime. If caught, both the sender and the receiving prisoner will be prosecuted. That said, it is very important to the wellbeing of the prisoner to stay in contact with their family and friends. It helps them to see they haven’t been forgotten or given up on, especially at important times like Christmas, birthdays, that kind of thing.Despite a lot of media frenzy, it is important to remember that they are people too, and once you get through the bravado and image, they can have a lot of worries and fears just like everybody else.

My friend is in county jail..probably going to prison. where do i send him his letters and money to keep ..?

like answers above... you must get that info from your friend ..like his inmate number. if you cannot get in touch you can contact the jail he is at and ask them for information. and money you can send money orders in their name(may be a different p.o. box for sending money so ask first), or you can go to jail and give cash(dont mail cash) which will be put under their name "canteen"t/"their books" i wouldnt recommend sending a letter not knowing the correct information first who knows if your friend would ever get the letter or money order. hope it helps

oh and that robert..dont listen to half of what he said...you do not get a cavity search going into a jail to put money on a friends books...i've done it and havnt even been searched in a pat down form...it is different in prisons from jails though. i write both my dad in a jail..and a friend in a prison...so i have a little experience! ignore his whole letter thing too. you must use your friends real FULL name and their inmate number seeing that is their name basically in jail.

Help please!! regarding nigeria!!! money transfer!! and Scam!!?

Yes lot's of people have then you send them the information and they ask if it is okay to send money orders to you. Of course you say yes. We will take money anyway we can get it. But you have to send them handling fee that you can take out of the money they send you. So you deposit the money and the bank gives it's okay. They look real enough and you are paying them out of the money they sent you. They say the money has to be sent to them right away. So you send them the money, a few days later your bank calls and says your over drawn the money orders were no good. But really good fakes. They are the ones making the 7 million dollars. On 60 minutes it showed the nice houses they have purchased and they get on the internet and Cain women saying they are in love with them and want them to cash these money orders so they put them in the bank and send them a check. Only to find out later the money orders are no good. In the office I have heard every story possible from men in Nigeria wanting you to cash money orders or send them money. Why would anyone in Nigeria send you 7 million? Ask yourself, do I have relatives who live there?
