How Much Do You Think A Doorperson Will Make At A Luxury Hotel

How do you call a person that opens doors for you in a Hotel ?

Considering they get all of the tips they recieve, they will make more money depending on the hotel. If it's some hole in the wall hotel that people use to stay in over night then the pay would be less. But if this person in in a high end hotel then they are going to be taking in a lot more tips, along with the raise in pay.

Who should you tip at a hotel?

Above all people, tip the maid. Leave some money on the nightstand with a piece of paper saying this is for her, because damn right if someone deserves money it's her.Did you know they have the hardest job in the hotel and are the least paid, because they're often the less qualified? They have to change thousands of bed sheets a day, bending repetitively down and they often suffer from back problems and pain. The least one can do is thank them for the work they do while we're having fun elsewhere.

Food delivery etiquette with an apartment building?

HUGE tip if you expect the guy to climb 3 flights. Otherwise, if you meet him at the main entrance, a standard tip if ok.

if you order from this place often, I would tip well and you will always get your food faster!

What is the average salary of a 5star hotel head doorman?

The salary/remuneration for a particular job is the market value for a particular profession and designation at the city/town where the office is located. Job postings at websites like Monster, Yahoo HotJobs and Careerbuilder carry information about salaries. The Govt Dept of Labor, (www.bls.gov) Bureau of statistics has information about median salaries for different professions and details of additional compensation offered. Other online resources are salary.com and payscale. Your salary will also depend on your educational qualification and how you handle your career. Does anyone know how much tips bellmen make in vegas?

$100/nt would be a bad night at a major strip hotel.. I've known a few bellman that made anywhere from $60k/yr to $90k/yr. But it's not easy to get those jobs. And if you do get the job you usually won't have a stable shift for a while.

They will usually start you as "on-call," which means you only work when they need you. You might work 40 hours in a week and then 8 hours the next week. If they call and you can't go in, you'll get fired after a few times saying no.

After on-call, you're get a part-time shift, then a full-time shift working the bad hours and eventually a full-time shift during good hours. It can be a pretty long process to get to a desirable shift.

That being said, Nevada also has the 2nd highest unemployment rate in the country now, so jobs are doubly hard to get. And the number of tourists are drastically down and the amounts tourists are spending is down... It's a real bad time to look for a job in Vegas.. especially a tip job.

You can just apply on their web-sites if they're hiring for it.. But Vegas is a very "who you know" town.
