How Much Does It Cost To Overhaul A Heat Pump For A Condo

How much should it cost for house renovation?

Costs for house renovations depends strongly on the condition of the house, type of repairs  you are interested in doing and type of contractors you are hiring. If your house is falling apart and you are interested in everything from foundation to roof, you are going to be spending 100K plus. If you are interested in upgrading your bathrooms and kitchens with high end materials and appliances, you know your going to be spending 55K and up. In addition, you have options to manage the project yourself and hire individual trades to do work like electrician, plumbers, carpenters and installlers, or hiring a general contractor to manage the project and get it done. Costs slightly more with a general contractor, but the results are covered with warranties and bond. Its not something you can answer easily and requires a full length of details thats why we offer free estimates to go over the details and present a design/solution for homeowners with a cost. How much does a furnace gas valve replacement cost?

You can expect the cost to vary from $250.00-$350.00 for a typical residential furnace.  Commercial and specialty valves will of course be charged by the contractor commensurate with their costs and may involve hidden costs to compensate the contractor for any specialized training required to be permitted to sell and install such valves.  There may also be a price differential based on location and demand.  Prices are generally higher on the coasts (East and West) than in mid-America.  Prices in other parts of the world may be higher or lower by local custom and demand and availability of trained personnel.

What temperature do you keep your heat on in the winter?

Thanks for all the answers. I tried doing 68 when home and 60 when sleeping/not home but it was too much of a difference.. then I tried 65 all the time but it was too cold. So I am going to do 68 home and 65 other times and see how my bill is. Thanks again

Which is more cost efficient for a ranch house, one or two central air systems?

It really depends on how you operate them, and how the duct is set up.If they are going to be on the same temperature all the time and both do half the house, then there is no savings. If you have one that is setup to cool or heat the sleeping quarters, and one that does the living area, then you can adjust the temperatures to where they are needed or not depending on use.For example:. You may not need your living area cooled at night, but only your bedroom. You could set your AC to 82F at night in your living area, and 75F in your bedroom. Then vice versa when you're not sleeping.I'd recommend programmable thermostats to simplify the switchover on that scenario. That scenario will save on the electricity use, but the up-front costs will be more because you're buying 2 A/C systems.Another aspect of having 2 systems is that if one fails, at least you can have some comfort until it is repaired/replaced.
