Do you think a morning coffee/tea delivery service would be successful?

The idea would be to have a coffee/tea (maayyybee hot chocolate) delivery service, which runs only in the morning. Basically I would create a business where I would be supplying the product (I would choose something high quality and worth the while) and between the hours of say...6-8 AM I would have runners delivering hot beverages to clients.

This would not be a call-in daily type order system...clients would pay a monthly subscription fee for the services and they would be delivered their beverage between a small couple hour time frame every single day. If they are not available a certain day, they are still charged the same price as if they received the services every day.

I got to thinking about this, because I was thinking how great it would be for someone to deliver a hot tea to me in the morning instead of having to get in my car and drive somewhere for it, or make it at home.

Usually it wouldn't be cost effective for a business to deliver such a cheap item but if this were to be done as a monthly fee and routes could be planned to be most time efficient, I started thinking I might be on to something...

Do you think this idea has any potential? Also do you have any good ideas for this business if you think it has any potential?

Is there anything at Taco Bell that's actually Mexican food?

No, there is not, and they are aware of it, believe me. In 1948, when GLEN BELL was 25 years old, he operated a small stand selling hot dogs. He was situated across the street from an old Mexican restaurant which was family owned and had opened for business in 1936, selling breakfast, lunch and dinner. They also sold hard shell tacos with ground beef and they sold for 10 cents a taco. Mr. Bell would eat those tacos several days a week. He loved eating the taco the restaurant prepared for him, but he also wondered why they were so popular. He won the confidence of the owners of the restaurant and they allowed him to watch how those popular tacos were prepared from scratch. Approximately four years later, Bell opened a new stand, this time selling hardshell tacos under the name of Taco-Tia. Eventually, Taco Tia became Taco Bell, and the rest is history. Unfortunately, Bell took shortcuts and to this day his tacos can in no way compete with those of the restaurant that taught Bell how to make them from scratch. That restaurant is still in existence at the same location (Mitla’s Cafe in San Bernardino, Calif). They are celebrating their 82nd anniversary in business, now owned by the 7th or 8th generation of the same family, and because of the authenticity of their Mexican food, are still busy for breakfast, lunch, or dinners. Their hard shell tacos are still sold, singularly or in their combination plates. Of course, the tacos now sell for $2 or $3 a taco, and you can have either shredded beef, fried ground beef, or roasted, shredded chicken. There are some people who want fried chorizo in them. Taco bell buys their taco shells (they are awful), and they are never fried. I believe they are totally flavorless, and have absolutely no taste or flavor. The meat reminds me of dog food because it has little or no seasoning, and it crumbles into pellets. But does Glen Bell give a diddly squat? He has many thousands of locations, even out of the U.S. (but not a single one in Mexico) and hundreds of franchises. He may not serve authentic Mexican food, but he laughs all the way to the bank.

Have you ever ordered anything from a restaurant's "secret menu"? What was it?

I grew up in the land of milk and In-N-Out Burgers so yes, I have definitely ordered off the secret menu. I don't like onions, so I've never gotten anything “animal style” (cheese, grilled onions and secret sauce then put in “oven” for 15-30 seconds to let everything melt). I HAVE gotten the 4x4 (4 patties, 4 slices of cheese) when I was much younger, and really enjoyed the mustard grilled Burger (add mustard to buns before grilling them, and the lemon-up (combo of lemonade and 7-up).Jamba juice also has a secret menu, and I've ordered a couple of things off of it. I love gummy bears, so I was very happy to learn that they made pretty accurate smoothie versions of the red and white gummy bears. They also have a blue flavor, but I haven't tried that yet. Maybe I'll go down on the Fourth Of July and order all three as smalls, put them into a large container with something separating them, whip that out and make an All-American Gummy Bear smoothie!

What's the best food/drink to sell at a high school club food booth, except pizza?

The best way is to cater to the population of your student body. The more they like something, the more likely they are going to buy it if you offer it. So maybe ask around for opinions? Ask your friends to ask theirs to see what’d they like to have at lunch and see what they say. From there, you can see if it’s possible to bring it to them. :)For me personally, I go to a school with a lot of Asian students so a lot of clubs like to sell bubble tea (which sells out very quickly). Back in middle school, they sold hot chocolate on cold mornings, and in elementary school, they sold ice cream.Speaking of which, another good idea is to contact local stores to see if they are willing to sell anything in bulk for a cheaper price so you can sell that instead. :)But other than that, some more food items can be chocolate, cupcakes, baked goods (cookies, etc.), and ice creams!Best of luck!

What's an appropriate amount of money to give for a sweet 16?

I'm friends with the girl, not super close but school friends (no family connection so yes I'm a lone guest, 16 myself)
She's having it at a regular hall and I'm assuming there will be catering/D.J.

How much $ should I give her?
