How Much Does Learning To Drive Cost Roughly In The Uk

Around how much would it cost to get a driving licence in Dubai?

This would be dependent on which country license you are holding. As far as I know, there are license from certain countries (such as Austria Ireland, USA, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, etc.) that can be exchanged to UAE License directly. By this, you will be only paying for fees and service charge that would total to 100 AED to 500 AED maximum. Please see a full list of the countries here: Dubai Driving Center - Exchange of LicenseFor those whose license are not among the list of countries you can exchange your license, you need to take 20 - 40 hours of course, depending on how many years you have been driving. Course fees will be dependent on which Driving Centre you will be taking it, but I highly suggest Dubai Driving Center and Emirates Driving Institute. Expect the course fees to be around 2000 - 5000 AED including Eye Tests, Driving Final Exam and others. Be sure to pass your exam on the first try or you will need to take additional courses in order to be able to retake the exam again.Overall, if your license cannot be exchanged to UAE License, then expect to pay 4000 - 7000 AED fees in total. But this all really depends because one of my friend paid a hefty fee of 12000 AED total just to get his license, and he is from Iraq. Also, another tip, take your lessons during Ramadan, instructors seem to be more kind during these months and might pass you on your first try.Goodluck!

How much does a drive train swap cost?

More info.  If it's the same transmission/axle.  Doing it yourself.  Around 100 dollars for fluids, maybe some gaskets, misc bolts that need replacingg, like exhaust bolts if you have to move the exhaust.  Maybe some bushings for the rear axle or transaxle mounts.  Not much but for the price of modern fluids. If you're a novice (obviously) a solid 6 hours if everything goes well.  Less if you've done it before more if it doesn't go well.I did one a couple weeks ago on an rwd.  Never worked on this model before.  It was a touring car so the trans was a bit hard to get to.  Took me about 8 hours with improper tools, on jack stands no trans lift, no help.   Had to drop exhaust and drive shaft.  Take apart interior to take off shifter. On my old land Rover series, it was about a 45 minute job out and in.  Maybe 1.5 hours from in garage to driving out.  No cost with reused fluids. 2 hours when I inevitably let thee clutch fork fall off the bearing

What is the average total cost of owning and using a private car in Canada?

It really varies a lot. It all depends on:Whether you financed the vehicle or not. If you own it outright, it will cost you a whole lot less than if you have to make payments. What type of car you own. Some makes and models are vastly more expensive than others to maintain and repair.Where you live. Insurance rates will vary tremendously based on where you live. Certain areas are rated higher risk than others and will have higher rates.Your driving record and experience. Newer drivers will pay a whole lot more for insurance than experienced drivers as will those with a poor driving record than those with a clean driving record. How much you drive. The more you drive, the more gas you will burn and the more money you will need to spend. For me personally, I spend around $1,200 per year on insurance, around $3,000 per year on car payments, around $2,000 per year on gas and around $1,000 on maintenance and repair on my 2015 Jeep. My annual cost is around $7,200.

Why are there a lot of people in England who don't drive a car?

No need for one.I lived in London for about 12 years, and the tube system really was all I required. There is also the space and cost. I owned a flat in London, but there was no parking space with that flat, so to park the car would mean finding a spot every single time I got home, the spot I’m used to might be taken, it might not. Thinking about it, I don’t think I could ever really park that close to my home.If I’d had a parking spot or garage, then I would have considered owning a car, but even then, drive into Central London!? No chance, the tube was far better for me, and the station was just over the road from where I live.So it would be a weekends car, but even then, if I’m driving, then I’m not drinking, so for most evenings out, I’ll take the tube or a cab anyway. So it’s a weekends-away car, which is just not cost effective, I’m not going to own a car to use it every month or so.Other parts of England or indeed the rest of the UK is different, owning a car would be desirable if not completely essential.

How many driving lessons should I take?

Depends on your learning ability. Take them until you feel confident that you can pass. And there is no rush, you can renew your permit it that becomes necessary.
