How Much Does Walmart Superstore Pay Thier New Part Time Employees In Phoenix Arizona

What does the Walmart car battery warranty entail?

I am a recently retired associate at Walmart and have rung up a fair number of batteries. Part of the sales process is that you scan the serial number on the battery. The effect here is that you do not need a receipt. The serial number is tied in to the receipt. Different lines of batteries have different warranties so you should check the warranty for the battery that you buy. The return is fairly painless except that it must be done at the automotive service desk during the hours when it is open. This is because a technician is required to test the battery. As an aside, the serial number of a lot of items is scanned when being bought. Once when processing a no receipt refund on a TV “Bought at Best Buy” came up when I scanned the serial number. By the way, Walmart will generally accept returns without a receipt at the current selling price but will issue a gift card in lieu of cash or a credit card credit. Note I said generally, not always.

Do you think pharmacists should be allowed to deny a patient their prescription because of religious beliefs?

This country was founded on the premise that we can all abide by our own religious beliefs and not be forced to do things that violate those beliefs. Pharmacists have the same rights as every other citizen. Well, until there's a law forcing all doctors to perform abortions (since they ARE legal) I don't think there should be a law forcing pharmacists to fill every prescription handed to them. In fact there are now several states that have laws specifically stating that a pharmacist may refuse to fill a prescription based on religious, moral, or ethical beliefs. But since almost every pharmacist has chosen that profession to help people and increase their health and well being, not to punish them or judge them, there are very few that turn away prescriptions for those reasons.

There are also economic reasons to consider. There is a policy where I work that allows me to refuse to fill an Rx on moral grounds as long as l find another pharmacist at my store or know that there is one nearby that the patient can get to without undue hardship. If I do not follow this policy I will lose my job. If I owned my own pharmacy and continually refused to fill prescriptions based on moral grounds like the ones above, or a myriad of similar ones I can think of, then I would soon go out of business!

The number of pharmacists who refuse to fill these prescriptions are a very tiny minority. It is a shame they are getting so much attention (notoriety) and I wish more information was given to people for what they can do. Plan B can be purchased ahead of time in case it's needed. Birth control prescriptions that are filled on a regular basis can be gotten through mailorder if the local rural parmacy won't stock them.

Is it true that walmart stopped drug testing?

Yes, for the most part. Certain positions still require testing such as auto technition and pharmacy positions and management, but most entry level positions do not require a pretty employment drug screen. Once you are hired you will still be subject to drug screening during certain time such as accidents, promotions, or even if there is reasonable suspicion.

What gas stations can I use a Walmart gift card?

If that is strictly a Walmart gift card, and not a Visa or Mastercard with the Walmart logo, Murphy Gas is the only place I know of that will accept it. Oh, and the ONLY place you will find a Murphy Gas station? Somewhere on a Walmart parking lot. Not all Walmart stores have Murphy Gas, but Murphy Gas is found nowhere other than at a Walmart location.

Can you be charged with shoplifting if you didn't leave Walmart with the property you're being charged with taking?

One night I was bored enough to read the manual of procedures to detain shoplifters for a large grocery chain.Customers acting suspiciously were to be continually observed, ideally in-person, until they attempted to exit the store. They were not to be touched unless an associate observed them taking something and passing through cash registers. Store employees may have verbal contact to assist them with making a purchase, but couldn't say anything that would indicate they consider the customer's behavior suspicious.Detaining someone before they had opportunity to pay was not allowed. That was to avoid situations where the suspect doesn't actually take anything out of the store but leaves them elsewhere in the store. If you were detained before you had opportunity to pay for something or after changing your mind about buying something and leaving it behind elsewhere in the store, you may wish to contact an attorney to take action against the store. It is possible the employees violated their own shoplifting protocol.
