How Much Faster Can I Run On The 40 Yard Dash If I Run 3 Hours Everyday

How can I achieve the fastest 100 yard dash time at my school?

Practice. Work on your form. Lift weights.  Start running. Monday - Short fast day working on form (maybe ladders? 40m, 50m, 60m, 50m 40m) Tuesday - a little longer but only running 80-85% 3-6 100m runs Wednesday - a bit longer but not as fast (4-5 x 200m @ 70-75%) Thursday - 8 x 50m-60m fast Friday - 50m, 100m, 150m, 100m, 50m (80-85%)Weekends- rest Lift weights 2-3 times a week or more if you feel good and it's the off season. Film you workouts when you can and adjust your form.  Always warm up first and at least once a week do sprint drills. (Ankling, heel march, fast legs, plyometrics or something similar to these)see if you can find a coach or mentor. These are just some guidelines for workouts and made for someone just starting a season. Hope you find this helpful.

What will happen if I run for 1 hour every day for 2 weeks?

There are some good answers here, and others not so much. The bottomline is that you will lose weight, if you watch your diet. I’ve lost more than 10 lbs so far by running an hour every single day, and after one and a half months it actually seems really easy to do so. I started off going slowly on purpose at 5.3 mph so as not to injure myself, and now I can easily run at a 6 mph pace; 7 mph with effort if I wanted to.Whatever you do, the key is to start at a maintainable pace, and then STICK to your running week by week. The pant sizes will drop no matter what, I guarantee you. Also, try to get it done first thing in the morning, on an empty stomach. You'll have much more energy throughout the day, and it will become habitual to get it over with when you first wake up. If you have space, ideally I would invest in a treadmill at home to cut commuting times to the gym. I'm not a fan of running outside because of weather unpredictability and the inconvenience of carrying water around, so a treadmill with a nice fan would make your running experience much more fun and routine, in my opinion. Best of luck to you.

I run a 5.1 40 yard dash how can i get this down to a 4.8 by season?

Work on your release. Use your Arms!!!!! and as you run make those steps as far as possible without slowing down. By using your arms i mean move them fast back and forth in a steady form. Best of luck to you.

40 Yard Dash?

I am a 5'10 145 pound Sophmore football player. Today I ran a 40 yard dash in football, and i got hand clocked at 5.56, in terrible cleats, on hard turf... Now flash back to 6th grade, I was doing the 40 yard dash with real sensor tested machines on track with flats and i ran a 5.24 (I still have the certificate of holding the record for an 11 year old... I ran almost a half a second faster 5 years ago, I dont know what the problem is... I lift everyday and i eat healthy, i rarely run because we are in the weight gain section right now, but i want to know if this is common or i something is wrong with me... PS i am in the midst of a huge growth spurt (3 months ago i was 5'7.5" and 125) is their anyhthing i can do to get my time up? (I squat everyday and in 3 months my squat has gone from 160 to 215 so thats not the problem...)

How can i run a 4.3 40 yard dash? (17 year old senior in highschool)?

Personally, I believe that you can benefit from making a position change. Based on your height and weight, as well as your 40-yard dash time and squat max, I believe that the best fit for you is at fullback. For your age, you have the ideal size for a high school senior fullback.

My best advice for you is to work hard and perform very well in practice every day. In addition, what you need to do this offseason is eat healthy, exercise by doing weight lifting, and either jogging or going for a long run every day. If you do these things, you will get faster, stronger, and into better shape, which will greatly improve your 40-yard dash time, as well as your chances of being a successful, top notch fullback in high school football next season, who could go on to play college football.

By the way, your chances of playing college football depend on your performance in football during your senior year of high school. If you perform very well in football next season, you will greatly improve your chances of getting recruited to play for a college football program.

College Football positions for 4.6-4.8 40 yard dash 210 weight?

Depends on where you are needed the most.. Get with the coach.. Good luck....

How much time can I shave off my 40 time in 5 months?

I weigh about 155 and I'm like 5"9 and I have been weight lifting for awhile now and I'm about to start speed training.i weight lift 4 times a week and I'm going to be doing speed training 3 times a week. I run a 5.1 40 yard dash and I need to get faster but I just want to know if it is possible to shave it down to like a 4.6. My goal eventually is to get it down to a 4.4. I also have football camps this summer in about 3 months so I was wondering if you could also tell me how much Time it is possible to shave off by the too. Thank you!
